We don't suggest that this property is for couples with young children. The main bedroom is in one house and the other beds are in the second house. Despite there only being 10 metres between the 2 houses we want our guests to experience a holiday where they don't have to manage young children being away from their parents. On the other hand for adolescents we have found that they LOVE this! Being close but of of view makes a holiday a great holiday for them!

Lovely week
The cottages were ideal for our family of five. The children, aged 15, 12 and 9, were very happy in the second cottage, with their own bathroom and the property’s TV. The cottages are beautifully kept and well-equipped with quality appliances. The French housekeeper, who is also a neighbour, is very friendly and brought us courgettes and cucumbers from her garden. There are three lavatories, one bath and two showers (including one with easy access to the outdoors and the pool): luxury for five people. The pool and pool area are well maintained and surrounded on two sides by tall bramble hedges, which were covered in blackberries when we stayed. The view from the kitchen and outdoor eating area is very restful. We spotted the two deer a few early mornings. Be aware no food (salt, pepper, oil etc.) is left in the house. Be prepared with some basics. There was water, wine and juice in the fridge when we got there. The property is particularly well situated for Les Eyzies and its main prehistoric cave sites along the Vezere river. But we managed easily to explore the Dordogne valley and Sarlat. There is no shortage of activities in the area. Our highlight was kayaking 16km from Vitrac down the Dordogne. And the gorgeous stone houses everywhere m. Highly recommended for a week - or even two!

Peaceful and of the highest standard.
Truly beautiful restoration of small farm house and outbuildings giving two separate dwellings rented together. The quality of the restoration is utterly superb. A colony of swifts occupy the airspace above the pool, feeding on the insects - so v. few bites - roe deer run through the garden, and most of the time the only sound is the ubiquitous Fr. cockerel. Restaurants and supermarket 5K.Great for the caves or a canoe trip on the Vezere. We didn't do either of these as the rental was just bliss - so we just stayed there.

Restored and let with love a beautiful old cottage.
When we arrived at the property we immediately felt at home. The owners had left us a bottle of wine which we enjoyed on the terrace that evening after a soak in the pool. We found the area to be full of great restaurants for all budgets and went to Les Eyzies and Sarlat to taste the local delicious food. The houses are very well kept and fully equipped with everything that we needed, We will be back!

Away from the buzz of the city
I loved staying at Les Ambiances Perigourdines, the peace and quiet, the views and the house was full of home comforts. We visited the local area, castles, caves and markets. Check out the butcher at St Cyprien market on a Sunday morning. Highly recommended, I will visit again

A Delight
The location was a revelation. Super quiet and remote but only 5 minutes drive from a real French town on the river. With Petrol, Supermarkets, Market Days and Wine shops. Central to many of the main Dordogne attractions and beautiful Villages. The house was spotless and it contained all high quality appliances and cookware. Which we do not find is typically the case in holiday rentals. We have two teenage boys and the split accommodation was far from an issue, it was a bonus. The A/C was welcome and we really enjoyed the natural rear garden (Patio and electric sunblind) for eating out on hot days, or just inside which felt the same thanks to the full length sideway patio windows. The owners have done a great job of making the property feel old but with all modern features. They even brought us breakfast round on the day we left. The booking process was aided by good communication from the owners and they provided hints an tips on getting the most out of the area. Highly recommend.

Thank you for your very kind review, it was a pleasure to meet you all over breakfast - your coffee was great! The added bonus was that you left the property SUPER clean and we were able to enjoy the sunshine whilst waiting for the next guests. Best wishes Sylvie and Peter

Best ever
Great place to stay. We loved the house, the pool and the area. Lots to discover nearby. We took trips in the morning and enjoyed the pool in the afternoon. Aircon was highly welcomed as the temperature rose over 35 degrees. The house is beautiful furnished and the kitchen is top quality. The kids loved having their own house!
