Wow this property has the most stunning photogenic views! We had an amazing week here, our boys loved snorkelling & swimming, the wildlife provides a lot of entertainment, from turtles to crabs to monkeys we loved watching them all. The property is well managed, the one problem we had (caused by a turtle on the beach!) was fixed with super speed! Good basics in the kitchen which people had left, oil, sauces as well as eggs, bread & water provided initially at the start of our stay. You will need to stock up on the first day or have a car to get to the supermarket in Basseterre regularly as there are no shops nearby. Overall just amazing location, wildlife & beautiful views are well worth the visit!

Our stay at Turtle Beach Cottage was wonderful. It is on the South Peninsula away from all the resorts and crowds. The property was well maintained and even though others have use of the downstairs from 10-5, we never saw a soul. Our only complaints are really something the owner has no control over (1) the road to the house is brutal even in a Jeep and (2) the seaweed has completely covered the beach. It would be impossible to keep it raked. We were told this is true of the whole island and will hopefully subside with changing ocean conditions. Our only recommendation to the owner is to purchase another air conditioner for the living/kitchen area. It is impossible to stay upstairs during the summer days. We were relegated to the bedroom to get relief from the heat. Downstairs is nice because of the breeze but at dusk the bugs were terrible so we found ourselves between a rock and a hard place. If the upstairs living was air conditioned you could still enjoy the view without the bugs. Even so, we throughly enjoyed the quite and peace that this cottage offers.

Great cottage! Details in every aspect top notch! Many little "sitting places" perfect for reading or watching the birds and surf. I finished 3 books! Short beach walk to the cove where there are a few beach bars and food. Penny always responded quickly and happily on any questions we had setting up our stay. Richard and Penny supply a very informative paper covering almost everything imaginable to prepare and engage while there! Franklyn (on site) was absolutely superb in being available, recommending, setting up, and assisting in anything we needed. We loved the place, its people, and the stay!

Apartment above your own private bar on a beach rarely frequented by others. The apartment is well furnished with a bathroom and large air conditioned bedroom. Lots of outside seating. The kitchen is downstairs in the bar.

I cannot say enough about our stay at the Turtle Beach Cottage! Let me start with our hosts Penny and Ricky. Our transition into paradise was the smoothest and made possible by these two, as they were always there if we had questions or needed anything. They are hands down the nicest people and made us feel right at home. As we arrived to the house Ricky was waiting there to greet us. He gave us a tour of our little place we’d call home for the next week. The place is breathtaking.. you’re literally living the unbelievable Caribbean shots you see advertised all on your own private property. The waters are blue, the breeze coming in off the the Atlantic is relaxing, the views should be on a post card, and the sea life is active! As we waded the waters on our first night we ended up guiding cute baby turtles back into the sea. The snorkeling right off our beach is everything you’d ask for. Beautiful reefs, exotic fish, and we even encountered a couple sting rays. All of this compliments the beautiful place we chose to spend our 7 night honeymoon vacation. The home is immaculate. French doors throughout the residence invite the cool breeze and views in that make for the perfect morning cup of joe. My wife and I could not have found a better spot to spend our honeymoon. This place covered everything we wanted. We cannot wait to get back to this little piece of paradise! - Jeff & Morgan

This is our second time staying at this location and we are already planning our next trip.

The property is located directly on the beach at Turtle Beach. The check-in was easy and efficient. Ricky (the owner) and staff are friendly and very helpful. Though not new, the property is clean and well kept...the views from the balconies are to die for! The beach is lovely for walking and there are some bars/restaurants a short walk away at Cockleshell Beach. However, if you want to explore the island, you will definitely need a car (easy to hire at Basseterre airport). In essence, for a peaceful getaway the property is perfect.

At 5:15 pm on Monday when I called Franklin to let him know we were on the way his Quote was "JESUS CHRIST" like it was a problem that we were coming, this time frame did not suit his schedule. When we got there he stated I was supposed to have eggs and juice but he would bring them by the next day. The next day when he came by he was informed that the cell phone did not work, his statement was I had a smart phone so I was too smart to use a simple phone. Three days later he came by to show me how the phone worked and he could not make it work so he decided it was broke. For the rest of my visit I had to use my phone to make local calls . On that same day he used the toilet downstairs not checking to see that the valve was closed on the toilet which caused the holding tank to run out of water which left us with no water for about five hours. We flagged a car down on the roadway in front of the house and found out from Greg (your family member) that the engineer at the Gov't Water supply was called and that water would be restored in another hour or so. Now to the house: roof is leaking water into the living area near the bathroom where the plant stand is located; floor boards are water damaged and peeling upward throughout the house; outside decking boards are rotting near the outside laundry room and in front of the house; the shower curtain was filthy with mold and mildew; linens were old and worn out; need to purchase new bath towels and WASH CLOTHS; freezer door fell off and needs to be fixed; house needs to be power washed; and the seagrass was three feet deep and five feet wide on the beach, could not get into the ocean. Your beach toys need to be housed in a storage shed, but are left out in the weather. Your property manager must be outsourcing the cleaning process and not following up with inspecting your property. All he is concerned with is making money off the rental incumbents with his soliciting of "tour" operations. The entire property needs to be updated because this is not a five star property! The best thing about St. Kitts and Nevis was the monkey population and your view from the house of Nevis. This property should be taken off all web sites until it has been upgraded and CLEANED.!!!

We had a very nice stay last week at turtle beach cottage. The cottage itself is very comfortable and the views are amazing. The owners were very responsive to needs that arose and we were very thankful for that. The snorkeling at the property was great. The only real downer on the trip was the amount of seaweed on our beach(the guy that cleans the beach said a huge amount came in a couple days before we got there). this is obviously not the fault of the owners, we just got A little unlucky in that regard. It did mostly clear out on our last day which was nice. We would definitely come back again in the future.
