Interaction with guestsWe do not live on site so we welcome guests in, show them around and then leave everyone to enjoy their holiday in peace! We just live down the road and can pop and see you anytime if needed. Although we are in beautiful countryside, there is good mobile signal so it is easy to contact us.

Wow! Cannot rate highly enough!!
After having to cancel a trip abroad due to Covid, during our search for a staycation, we stumbled across Wild Meadow by chance. Wow, what a place!!! The location is stunning, in a rolling meadow with beautiful views of the Welsh / Shropshire Hills. The décor is fabulous, with all rooms superbly light and airy. You have your own kitchen garden and fruit garden / orchard to "pick your own" which was a unique touch. Plus, it is so quiet! Perfect for a getaway to simply just chill and relax!! That said, you aren't short of places to visit nearby. We visited Stokesay Castle, Ludlow Castle and Clun Castle, climbed The Long Mynd and visited Ludlow Farm Shop for some fantastic local produce! Andrea and Jonathan's hospitality was top notch from the start and we were greeted with a lovely bottle of home made apple juice as well as some chocolates - perfect to start our week's break away! In regards to Covid safety, we couldn't fault them. Every extra care (and beyond) had been taken by the hosts. We seriously cannot wait to be back. It was just the most perfect cottage in the most perfect location with the most perfect hosts! If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would!!

Peaceful Getaway
Me and my boyfriend stayed for the 2nd time at in the shepherds hut after visiting here in April 2017. The location is so peaceful and private, even with the cottage at the bottom of tbe field you don't hear or see anybody. One of our favourite things was the vegetable and fruit gardens which you can help yourselves. We picked raspberries, blackberries, potatoes, chard, onions and peas. Andrea is a great host and made us feel very welcome when we arrived. We made use of the outdoor cooking facilities and eating/drinking looking out across the view. There is a hot glamping shower and the toilet facilities are clean and private. The hut is clean and has a very comfy bed. A nice touch was all the wild flowers in vases dotted around. Lots of walks nearby and a village with shops and cafes about 1 mile away. We will be booking again in another couple of years time and highly recommend staying here.

Fantastic Stay, with lovely views.
Our first stay in Wild Meadow Cottage and it will not be our last. We found this lovely place to be in a great location with lots of gardens/meadows surrounding it and such beautiful views. Inside we found it to be comfortable with two great sofas and the beds/linen were top quality. Andrea and Jonathan could not do enough for us and the youngest member of our party (aged 5) loved the shepherds hut at the top of the meadow (no one in it at the time) and the swings. We had the most wonderful weather and stay - Thank You.

Amazing stay at Wild Meadow
We have just reluctantly returned from a 3 night stay at Wild Meadow. What an amazing place! Andrea was there to meet us when we arrived with the wood burner already alight. The cottage was spotlessly clean and tastefully furnished with everything you need for a relaxing break. Lots of space for two couples with a choice of three bedrooms. The beds were really comfortable with lovely bedding and cosy blankets. Downstairs, the open plan worked really well, large sofas to relax on whilst the chefs were busy in the kitchen! Essentails like tea, coffee and milk were provided and we also had some lovely homemade Apple juice and chocolates waiting for us on the table along with little vases of freshly cut snowdrops. We walked each day straight from the door and explored the surrounding countryside, what a treat! Would love to visit again and sample some of the delights from the cottage garden.

Shepherds Hut
We had a brilliant stay in the shepherds hut for a 2 night quick break. Very clean all equipment provided and stunning views. Well looked after and Andrea was very nice and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend for a place to get away from it all. Thank you.

Stunning haven in the Welsh countryside.
We stayed in the gorgeous eco cottage at Wild Meadow, a beautifully crafted home from home in the rolling Welsh countryside. The cottage is comfortable and spacious, with simple tasteful style and stunning views, especially from the master bedroom. The hosts, Andrea and Jonathan, couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful, a really lovely couple. The meadow is a great place to stay, with or without kids. Even in October, after most of the flowers had gone over, we had fun with our two young children picking apples and raspberries and playing on the swing in the huge oak tree at the top of the meadow. It's a hard place to leave! We'll be back for our third stay this summer.

Hello Maxine, thank you for your lovely review. We are looking forward to seeing you all back in the summer. Lots more produce in the kitchen garden at that time of year and the meadow will be in full bloom!

Idyllic getaway!
We have just stayed in the delightful Shepherd's Hut at Wild meadow. The hut is at the top of a hill with gorgeous views of the valley below. The hut itself is so cosy, with a small wood burner and a comfy bed and chairs. The outdoor kitchen, a rustic log building, had everything we could possibly want. Our hosts accommodated our every need, including provisions for breakfast the next day. There is an Eco toilet, hot gas shower, an outdoor fire if you wish to cook outside. A gorgeous hilltop meadow to explore with fruit and vegetables (when in season) you can help yourself to and swings on oak trees! Although both in our 60s we played like children on the swings! It was a delight. If you want to give your brain a rest, switch off from the stresses of life, I high recommend Wild Meadow.

Wonderful New Year
A beautifully built and presented cottage that is a stone's throw from Presteigne. Yet, situated in it own meadow, it offers a wonderful feeling of seclusion to help you unwind and relax. We had 5 of us staying in the cottage and two further relatives round daily. The cottage accommodated us all easily and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend a stay there.
