About the neighbourhood
The village has two pubs, both serving food with the nearest being the Glyntwrog about 500 yards away. There are two shops in the village - one is a Co-op. The nearest supermarkets are in Caernarvon - Tesco, Morrisons (with petrol station) and a small Asda. The village has a popular chip shop and an award winning butcher with delicatessen. Llanrug is close to many attractions such as the Snowdonia National park, the mountains and beaches, the Llyn peninsula, Anglesey and there is a growing number of adventure pursuits such as zip wires and rib rides
Getting around
A car is recommended however once you are here there are alternatives such as the local bus service run by Arriva. The nearest main railway station is at Bangor The Snowdon Sherpa is a good way to get around the foot of Snowdon The Welsh Highland heritage railway is a good way to see the scenery And of course there is the Snowdon Mountain Railway at Llanberis
