About the neighbourhood
Nearby walks lead through the beautiful countryside, with views over the stunning Brecon Beacons, with Red Kites and Buzzards flying overhead. The charming church of St. Sadwrn lies in the centre of Llansadwrn village adjacent to The Sexton's Arms where you will get a very warm welcome and where food is served Friday to Sunday. In Llanwrda village one and a half miles away there is a general store, garage, pub and café open all hours. Two miles away is the delightful Welsh village of Llangadog with a Post Office and Country Stores, an excellent butcher selling local produce, and a very good pub-restaurant. Trains to Shrewsbury and Swansea run from Llangadog on the Heart of Wales line. The line is renowned for its passage through dramatic mid-Wales scenery and many interesting stopping s...
How to get there
From London and the south: M4 to the end of the motorway at Junction 49 (Pont Abraham), then to Llandeilo (A483), through Llandeilo then A40 towards Llandovery. After about 10 km, continue across a roundabout towards Llandovery, then after a further 1km, take a left turn signposted Llansadwrn, then after 400 metres take the third opening on the right (Yew Tree Farm). Alternatively, from Junction 49, continue on the A48 to Crosshands, right at the roundabout onto the A476 to Llandeilo, through the town and onto A40 towards Llandovery, then proceed as before. When entering Wales via the M4 Second Severn Crossing, you need £6.10 cash for the bridge toll. There is no charge when leaving Wales! From the Midlands M5/M50 to Ross on Wye, then A40 all the way to Llandovery. Continue through on A...
