We have just returned from a lovely stay at The Cabin. Positioned in a rural area with no phone signal or WiFi is just what what we wanted! Though if you are a nervous driver like myself please be aware the drive is very steep!...More

The barn is in a stunning location with beautiful grounds. Fiona was a wonderful host and provided us with everything we needed. The local area is lovely, with lots of fresh produce and some amazing walks. We are hoping to return there this summer.

It was so nice to see you again! Didn't feel like four years since your stay at the Cabin. We love it when guests enjoy and appreciate the local surroundings, as you so clearly did.

About the neighbourhood
The Upper Towy Valley, surrounded by the Cambrian mountains and only 40 mins drive from the Brecon Beacons has many opportunities for walkers, mountain bikers and those of an outdoors disposition. It all starts as soon as you step outside. There are stunning walks in every direction - or drive to the Llyn Brianne reservoir and start from there. You can even canoe or kayak on the river at the end of the drive. There is a mountain bike trail at Cwm Rhaeadr. Also an all ability (pushchair and wheelchair friendly) walk It's possible to go horse riding along the many bridle paths that are nearby. The Dinas Nature Reserve has a lovely circular walk among the waterfalls of the upper Towy valley. Run by the RSPB it's a fantastic place for bird watchers and it seems also Welsh fugitives. Lege...
How to get there
The location is quite remote, however for guests who want to travel by public transport there are trains to Llandovery from Carmarthen and Swansea and guests can travel by taxi or hire bikes for the final 9 miles.
