Set in the idyllic village of Luss , Craigton Smiddy is just a short walk from the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond and sits at the quiet end of the village just a gentle stroll from the local pub, eateries and shops.
Craigton Smiddy was built from local stone in 1800 and retains its old world charm whilst being fully equipped for modern- day luxury living. The cottage has three bedrooms and three bathrooms ( a superkingsize en suite, a kingsize en suite and a twin room with private bathroom) and comfortably sleeps up to six people, with a cot available for an infant if required. The twin room can be arranged as a superking room and the superking room can also be arranged as a twin room.

A fantastic property, beautifully decorated and so comfortable. We stayed 4 days and could easily have stayed longer. Highly recommended, we hope to be back some day.

The historic village of Luss lies on the western shore of Loch Lomond, is easily accessible from Glasgow (28miles) via the A82, yet sits quietly at the heart of the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park, one of Scotland's most magnificent scenic areas

Luss is the signature village of Loch Lomond's western shores and surrounding area. It has a fascinating history (see below) and is well established as the number one place to visit when touring the world-famous Loch Lomond region.
There is a host of venues for eating out are all within easy walking distance.
There are great walks and cycle routes that can be started from Craigton Smiddy
Getting around
Luss is easily accessible from Glasgow in the South ( 30 mins) or along the A82 from the North.

Balloch train station is about 8 miles away whilst Glasgow International airport is 30 - 40 minutes by car.
Cycling and walking are great ways to see the local landscape but a car allows for many more opportunites.
