The cottage dates back to the 1800's where it was a shepherds cottage. We have still maintained the wooden walls and the huge open fire. The cottage is well equipped to provide 'Home from Home' and is an excellent base to explore from. We are a short drive from the coast and well positioned between the ports to go and explore the Islands. The estate hire out canoes, rowing boats and bicycles. We also can arrange wild brown trout fishing in the hill lochs and course fishing on Loch Ederline. The local area is steeped in history and archaeological sites. There are many local attractions and activities including horse riding, sea trips, museums, jails ,golf courses, mountain biking, walking and bird watching to name just a few.

Beautiful cottage in a stunning landscape. A friendly welcome awaits. Very clean house and beddings. The kitchen provides everything you need. Lots of Information and tips for travelling are given. We went twice (summer and autumn). Although autumn was pretty wet, the colours of the landscape will take your breath away and the Cottage is dry and cosy. Very dog-friendly...

My partner and I had a lovely stay. The house had everything we needed and was very cosy. We used the fire every day which was great, however when it was a still day the fire didn't draw as well as when it was windy. It did heat the house though! There are some beautiful walks which were mainly all...
