Cottage
Aisling - (Gaelic meaning is for a dream or vision) is a converted traditional fisherman's cottage over a century old. It has been newly refurbished with décor inspired by the beautiful array of colours along the waterfront of the town. The picture of the bay is the view you can see from Aisling cottage. The self-catering cottage is spacious enough to accommodate from two to six people - there are two bedrooms, one double bedroom which has a semi en suite and a twin bedroom with two single beds. The sitting room has a double futon. The cottage is situated on Argyll Terrace in upper old Tobermory. It is only a five minute walk (downhill!) to the beautiful array of shops and restaurants on Main Street. The local arts centre An Tobar is a few minutes' walk along the terrace. dissapointing
Amazing location/views. No hot water. Beds hard everything covered in plastic? Rules very strict. No welcome no instructions on how to use anything. Problems with payment and deposit refunds. Covid aside overpriced? WE had beautiful weather and a lovely holiday on Mull otherwise.

There is hot water at the cottage - it was all in the instructions - sorry you didn't see these. There is a boost button for hot water by the back of the kitchen wall. All instructions are kept on this site and via email - I'm sorry if you had not received these or got in touch if you had any questions needing answered. All payments go through Holiday Letting and Tripadvisor - any issues with with payments and refunds are with Tripadvisor - this has nothing to do with us. Everything had to be covered on beds to protect you and others from Covid. All plastic has been removed but we still take care to help prevent against the spread of the disease. You could have removed this, if it was not to your liking. We also removed all paperwork including instructions which are all online and in emails - again to help against the spread of the virus, as advised to do at the time as everything had to be sprayed by covid preventing fluids. Sorry you didn't get the best from the cottage as you could have done.

Aisling Cottage
Aisling Cottage is perfectly situated overlooking Tobermory harbour just a short walk to the shops along the front. The cottage is upside-down so the stunning views can be enjoyed from the 1st floor kitchen diner and lounge. The wood burner was a welcome feature in October and provided a cosy warmth to the large and well equipped kitchen. We enjoyed meals around the big kitchen table and spent evenings watching tv in the lounge. The bedrooms are nicely decorated with plenty of storage and thick duvets for chilly autumn nights! I do think the heating situation needs to be resolved. It’s unusual and frustrating that it’s controlled remotely - we felt reluctant to pester the owner every time we wanted to turn the heating up and therefore got a bit chilly at times. The showers were also a bit of a disappointment. Having said that, Petrea was very quick to respond to queries via email and we were very appreciative when stormy weather meant we couldn’t get the ferry home and were able to stay on a further night

Thanks for your feedback. The heating system is quite new to us too and we were also trying to get used what temperature was good for guests in the evening etc and considering the time of the year. We hopefully have this spot on now! Thank you for letting us know and please do not worry about asking for help. We are happy to help at all times when possible!! The showers are slower in the winter because of the water pressure and the cold water coming through the showers. We will consider this feedback for the future once we can find a way to do this that won't overpower the system at the cottage. Thank you again for your feedback.

Amazing views
The cottage was a good size Clean and tidy with everything required for a stay Views from the cottage were just stunning Heating was worked remotely by the owners which I found different As the weather can change in the blink of an eye also felt bedrooms were cold Small garden to the back of the property My only downside was I think it would benefit more with a power shower rather than electric shower as water pressure wasn’t good to get a good shower it was hot but not powerful enough

Thank you for your review. We can manage the heating and its a new system so we are still getting used to it ourselves and what works best for the guests. Sorry if you felt a bit chilly, we have upped the temperature in the rooms as a result of feedback and what temperature works best. Thank you. The cottage can't have power showers due to the voltage needed to power them but its good to know your thoughts and will look into getting more powerful showers if the system can take it! We are always here to help our guests so a little nudge to let us know if you need any support is always beneficial to you and us as hosts!! Thank you

Fab stay in the heart of Tobermory
We have stayed at Aisling Cottage so we knew what a great location it has. We love Tobermory and all the shops, pubs and places to eat so it's great to be able to walk home - albeit up a steep path. It was also great to be there for New Year with the amazing fireworks over the harbour. The cottage is perfect size for us - 2 adults, 2 children, 1 dog and we love the open kitchen and dining area. I'm sure we'll be back!

We always want to return
We love our yearly visit to Aisling Cottage and the Isle of Mull. Wherever else we go in the world we look forward to our return there. We can only agree with others who have said how lovely the garden, the house, the magical views are . It is lovely to look out at the bay from the upstairs dining kitchen and lounge windows whatever the time of day . Eating in the large kitchen is extremely pleasant and so is taking advantage of the restaurants in Tobermory . The nearly Co-op keeps you supplied with food as necessary . There are trips out whale watching, informative wildlife safaris, trips to other small islands (our favourites are Iona and Ulva) and so much more- not least excellent walks. On Argyll Street there is the nearby An Tabor arts and theatre venue . We have often enjoyed events there. Thanks Petrea for being an excellent holiday landlady - we can't wait to get back to Aisling cottage in May!

Love this little cottage, stunning views, comfy and cosy. Perfect location for exploring the whole island. Excellently equipped, comfy beds, and a very helpful and friendly owner. When we stay on Mull, we wouldn't stay anywhere else!

Perfect location for a trip to Mull
Lovely homely cottage in Tobermory. Great location, just a short walk away from the Main Street with all the shops and restaurants. Cottage is well equipped with everything you need. Lovely view over the harbour.

Mrs
A warm & cosy cottage with a wonderful panoramic view of Tobermory harbour & the sea & islands beyond. It is a short but very steep walk down( & back up!) to the pretty harbour front & shops. We were able to park outside the cottage & drive down if needed. Plenty of space for 4 adults & well-equipped for self-catering. A good location for exploring the rest of this lovely island.

Fabulous location in Tobermory
Fabulous location in Tobermory with wonderful views of the harbour. Close to a little alternative cafe. Steep climb from the main street but worth it for the location and views. House well equi[ed and worked for 4 of us comfortably.

Great cottage with fabulous views
Had a wonderful stay at the cottage. Clean and comfortable with a well equipped kitchen. Good location for touring and local walks. Local pubs and tea rooms serve good food. Lovely garden overlooking the bay where you can watch the boats sail by. Quite hilly so be aware if someone has difficulties with walking although plenty of parking if you don't fancy the climb back to the cottage. We had a lovely relaxing and peaceful week at the cottage and fell in love with Mull.
