About the neighbourhood
Glen Chass Farmhouse is situated in a small, quiet hamlet in Glen Chass, high above Port St Mary. 'Glen Chass' can be translated from the Manx as 'The warm glen' or 'The glen of the long grasses'. It is a short drive or walk down to Port St Mary a delightful coastal harbour village where there are shops and several charming cafes and pubs. The Patchwork Cafe sources local ingredients and makes it own bread and cakes. The Fish House serves local-caught delicacies such as fresh crab, lobster, queens and scallops from the carefully managed local coastal waters. A visit to the local pub, The Albert, to sample to local ales, should be an essential part of your visit.
