No. 16 Westgate is a newly refurbished, and refurnished, quaint 'B listed' 18th Century fisherman's cottage located in the picturesque East Neuk village of Crail. The cottage is located at the top of Hens Ladder, a stone pathway formally used by fisher wives, which leads directly down to Crail harbour and a sandy beach. Rock pools are found just beyond the beach. (It takes our bucket, and spade, equipped 15 year old, and 13 year old approximately two minutes to get to the beach from the back gate!) Crail has all the local amenities you would expect to need, a friendly butcher, baker, chemist, corner shop, and traditional green grocer. Lobsters and crab can usually be purchased from the harbour. What a fantastic little cottage beautifully furnished & very clean & comfortable. Location was great for our 2 grandchildren age 9 & 13 as it is so close to the Beach & Harbour the boys just loved it & so much to keep them entertained....More

As a family of 4 we can thoroughly recommend staying at 16 Westgate South. The house was great - a home-from-home and a stones throw from the harbour, beach and rock pools. Perfect!

Overall our few days in Crail were amazing. Exactly what we wanted. The accommodation was ideal with fantastic views. Girls loved staying in the bunk beds, although they’re both 18! Big kids at heart. If there was one negative comment to make, I would say...More

Absolutely beautiful cottage, lovely views, will definitely miss waking up to them! This cottage made a fantastic stay in picturesque Crail, very friendly and welcoming, great butchers. Would highly recommend. The little welcome basket of goodies was a great touch to.
