Cabin Holiday Rental
Our cozy and enchanting Timber Haus Cabin at Newton Fork Ranch sits up on a large outcropping of natural granite rock. It gives one the feel of being in a tree house. The cabin overlooks the center of the meadow where deer and, sometimes, a rafter of turkeys congregate. Just imagine escaping on a vacation getaway to a real log cabin with a loft that is both quiet and secluded yet only 1/2 mile from Hill City's Main Street. Our property is in the 'Heart of the Black Hills' so we are centrally located to Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Deadwood, Wind Cave, Jewel Cave, and many other Black Hills attractions. Our Timber Haus Cabin aspires to become your home away from home; your peaceful oasis from a world filled with time constraints and non-stop activity. A truly healing place after the dust, noise, exhaust fumes, and mud of Sturgis Rally. It's quiet, clean, and beautiful. Sitting on the deck with a beverage watching the wildlife was my favorite thing to do. Linda and staff went out of their way to...More

About the neighbourhood
Hill City is centrally located in the 'Heart of the Black Hills.' If your search for South Dakota accommodations includes some of that famous Black Hills fishing, Deerfield Lake is just up the road. And Hill City, with its many art galleries, restaurants, wineries, and gift shops is only a half-mile from our cozy and secluded log cabin rental. Our property is an idyllic and restful hideaway where the absence of telephones and televisions recalls a slower and more peaceful time long forgotten.
Getting around
The most convenient way to tour and sightsee, around the beautiful and pristine Black Hills, is by car. Hill City is well-known locally for its restaurants, art galleries, unique shops, historic 1880 Train, and the museum at the Black Hills Institute of Geological Research. All of this and more is a casual stroll away via the Mickelson Hiking & Biking Trail.
