Holiday Rental House
Surrounded by forests and with views to the ocean, Kilfeacle Farm Cottage is a peaceful nature haven. Situated on a working cattle farm, the cottage is solar powered and supplied by rain water. A pot belly stove keeps guests warm, and a cosy loft for sleeping looks out over the vegetable garden and chickens. The cottage was originally a creamery for the dairy farm that was established here in 1860. We added the small kitchen and bathroom as our family of four lived in it while we built the main house. For sleeping, there is a cosy loft accessible by ladder (see photos) which can sleep up to four people (one kingsize mattress plus two short [1.5m long] single mattresses suitable for children). A pullout queen size sofabed downstairs can sleep two people. Bedlinen and towels are supplied. A pullout queen size sofabed downstairs can sleep two people. Bedlinen and towels are supplied. A small kitchen provides most things for everyday cooking, including dishwasher, and although there is no oven there is a Weber BBQ outside. The small bathroom has a restored antique clawfoot bath, shower and toilet. A potbelly stove provides heating through winter (wood supplied). The cottage is very well insulated and stays warm in winter and cool in summer. It is a special place with breathtaking views and above all, peace and tranquillity offered by the forest. Guests will have the cottage to themselves, as well as sole use of the garden in front of the cottage, and there is also bushwalking on the property. You are welcome to pick lemons, herbs and vegetables from the vegetable garden, and collect eggs from the chickens for your breakfast. Kilfeacle is surrounded by bush, native birds, our cows and local wildllife. It's just a 15 minute drive to historic Milton, famous for its music culture, boutique shops and cafes (we will happily recommend our favourites!). Mollymook, Narrawallee and Conjola beaches are also very close, with surf lessons available, great snorkelling and the beautiful Narrawallee inlet just great for small children to play in. The cottage is near our house, but it has a private outlook over three sides with forest, pasture and ocean outlooks.More

What a beautiful little cottage with amazing views in all directions. The hosts, Kim and Brendan, were very welcoming and left us in complete privacy the whole weekend. The cottage is kept very clean and tidy, and feels very homely. We will definately be back,...More

About the neighbourhood
The Milton area is a sublimely beautiful part of the world, where the wilderness of the Budawangs and Morton National Park come to meet fertile farmland just a short distance from pristine beaches. This area truly has it all. If you're after an escape from the city, the peace and quiet of this rural area will be perfect for you. The town of Milton abounds with arts and culture, including great cafes, and heritage buildings with views across farmland to Pigeon House Mountain. Bushwalk in the neaby Budawang Wilderness Area and Morton National Park, surf at Mollymook Beach, indulge at one of the local wineries or top restaurants like Rick Stein's at Bannisters, Tallwood or St Isidores, or just settle down with a good book by the fire.
