About the neighbourhood
Perranporth's main 'claim to fame' is it's 3 miles of golden, sandy beach and rolling Atlantic waves. It also sits on the South West Coastal footpath (Ferndale is just a two minute walk to the path). A walk to the pretty village of St. Agnes is a must - and if you don't want to walk back, there is a regular bus service. In the other direction there is Holywell Bay, which has two pubs serving refreshments all day and, again, a bus service to bring you back. Perranporth village has plenty of cafes and restaurants, as well as convenience super-markets, a chemist, and several gift shops.
Getting around
Further afield, but within easy driving distance, are the towns of Padstow, Falmouth and St. Ives. All well worth a visit and less than an hour's drive away.
