Pippins Retreat is a family run venture, 1st chalet bought September 2016 and the adjoining one was purchased March 2017. We aim to provide a comfortable base for the traditional family holiday at the seaside.We continue to make improvements as we go along. Several items have been replaced since purchase of the Chalets ie sofas, bedroom furniture, microwaves, fires,pots and pans, crockery and much more. We have changed the outer door in Chalet 86B to a large patio door bringing more light into the chalet. We have changed the bedroom, wooden windows in chalet 86A to more heat efficient PVC double glazed ones. Both chalets are to be redecorated at the beginning of October 2018 also the bathroom is to be refurbished in 86A during this time. The chalets are thoroughly cleaned after each booking by co-owner Philip who takes pride in the cleanliness and general upkeep of the Chalets. Comfortable Pine framed double bed in main bedroom, 2 full size bunk beds in second, ample wardrobe/hangers/drawer space in both. There are wall mounted heaters in each bedroom. A free standing tower fan and additional free standing heaters are available when needed. Towels and quality bed linen (quilt covers etc) freshly made up for your arrival can be provided for stays of 3 nights and over at an additional cost of £20 per booking payable directly to the owners. Kitchen has a four-ring hob, fridge (small freezer compartment) combination microwave/oven/grill. Toaster kettle and Iron/board. Toilet roll/washing up liquid, Condiments, tea towels, tea coffee sugar and a few other essentials are also provided. Bathroom has electric shower, toilet and hand basin. Living room has sofabed, drop leaf table and 4 chairs, TV/DVD player and wood burning stove effect electric fire. Electric is via a coin operated meter, accepts £1 and £2 coins. (set at cost rate so little /no profit to chalet owner). There is a Joie buggy with footmuff and rain cover available for use for smaller children, a bed guard for use on bottom bunk and a portable chair/tray for very young children. There is a selection of toys/books. Outside is an enclosed patio which is child/dog friendly and has table/seating for outside dining. *Well behaved pets welcome*. We request that owners do not allow pets on the furniture unless a suitable cover is brought by the owner and used to protect furnishings. Approx 3 minutes walk to a dog friendly award winning beach (some restrictions for dogs during peak season). There is an onsite Pub, chip shop, amusement arcade, shop and cafe. Adjacent to the site is South Cliff caravan park where you can use their facilities free of charge. They have Makis Leisure Club (restaurant and entertainment) it has 3 bars, includes regular live acts and Bingo. Also Mini Market, multi sport recreation area, amusement arcade, launderette, fish & chip shop and tennis courts. Please note facilities are limited out of season. Supermarkets Morrisons, Bessingby Road Bridlington YO16 4SJ and Tesco, Station Approach Bridlington YO15 3EP are 2.4 and 2.6 miles away respectively. The holiday site is close to the Bridlington ‘park & ride’ terminus (seasonal) making this an ideal location for ease of access to Bridlington by either taking this regular bus service or for the more active taking a leisurely stroll along the beach and promenade which takes approx 20 min to the centre of Bridlington .More

The chalet is owned by myself Julie Barnett and my brother Philip Retallic, we can be contacted via mobile during your stay. I live in Derbyshire and my brother lives 2 miles away from the chalet in old Town Bridlington. Key to the chalet is obtained from a keycode safe which is situated next to the chalet door, guests will be notified of the code just before their stay with us begins. Philip will be on hand to deal with any queries or problems you may have during your stay.

Myself and my 2 children Stayed in 86b. On arrival the chalet was lovely and clean with a special touch of tea coffee etc. We all enjoyed our time here and would definitely book again. Home from home, was a lovely break away

Bridlington boasts the new East Riding Leisure Centre which has health suite, gym & swimming pools (exciting Splash Zone, 2 interactive slides, fun play structure, water toys and tipping buckets. Aqua splash and Slide Champ for all ages. The Seafront Promenade of North and South Beach stretches alongside 3 miles of golden sands, with facilities and attractions along the way. Belvedere Car Park at the southern end of town sees the start of the Land Trains which then travel to The Spa Royal Hall and also from Leisure World at Northern end via Limekiln Lane up to Sewerby Hall. Bridlington Harbour has an established fishing fleet around 1000 years of age. The harbour and marina are popular with sea anglers, boat owners and pleasure boats.
