Very peaceful, lovely welcome, huge comfortable bed and lots of room
The apartment is very well equipped, even a dishwasher! very comfortable, huge bed and great shower. Lovely and quiet, it rained heavily the weekend we were there but so much space didn't get cabin fever. Terence gave us a very warm welcome.

Excellent vacation accommodation
We stayed at Buckerfields for five nights while on a vacation to the UK from Australia and found it to be an excellent choice. The quality of the apartment was extremely good with all the facilities that we needed and the rural outlook and lack of disturbance made it a very restful place to stay. It is only about 5 or 6 minutes drive into the lovely town of Marlborough and all the Wiltshire area historical sights and stately homes are within easy reach. We would highly recommend Buckerfields Barn to anyone visiting the area and would thank Sonia for her hospitality.

A lovely, peaceful place to stay with great attention to detail.
This apartment is very well equipped and comfortable for two. It is surrounded by peaceful gardens full of birdsong, and just a few minutes walk from the village pub, though the kitchen has everything you need for self-catering. Avebury is a wonderful place to visit, and the Wiltshire countryside is rolling, verdant and beautiful, with canals, rivers and pretty villages to explore. Nearby Marlborough is busy and bustling, and offers good shopping of every kind. Owners Sonia and Terence are very helpful and knowledgeable, and we much appreciated the wine and other goodies that welcomed us when we arrived.

A little gem
A last minute find, pleased to arrive to a stylish spotless, well equipped, modern flatlet, with welcome gifts of, fresh bread, milk, tea, coffee etc, butter, eggs and a bottle of claret, Tanjia also put together a very pretty posy of fresh flowers for our daughters office space at the Barbury horse trials ,comfortable beds, splendid shower, comfortable lounge with TV, well equipped kitchen, choice of good restaurants and bars nearby. Would certainly recommend, perfectly located for visiting the visitor attractions of Wiltshire the downs and the ridgeway. We were delighted with our find.

Parfait

Perfect relaxation and tranquilty, 5 star.
I have visited with my husband for a relaxing break after a family wedding and could not have wished for more. Sonia welcomed us as if she had known us as friends with a lovely welcome pack fresh eggs wine and bread. The apartment far exceeded our expectations with all mod cons and fully equipped with everything that you may need. The bed was the biggest and cimfiest and the sun room lovely for our evening meal. We are already making plans to return.

Lovely Apartment in beautiful countryside & great hosts
My husband and I had an extended stay at Buckerfields Barn due to house renovations and I must say they did not disappoint. Tastefully decorated with all the mod cons you need and nestled in beautiful countryside but not too far from the M4 for work or day trips out. Sonia and Terry are delightful hosts and have thought of everything you need to make your stay away whether it be for a week or a few months as comfortable as possible. I would definately recommend to friends and family. Have to add that the bed is one of the biggest and most comfortable we have ever had the pleasure of sleeping in and we have travelled and stayed at a lot of places.

Geweldig appartement

A home away from home. Everything you could want and much more, eg dishwasher with tablets, the best king bed ever. Sonia and Terry's thoughtfulness and consideration extends further than any of the posh hotels we've ever stayed in, eg good quality bottle of wine, eggs from the farm, loaf of fresh crusty bread - just the things for a quiet evening in the private garden.

About the neighbourhood
The Marlborough area offers a great mix of town and country. Surrounded by beautiful countryside, the historic market town has the widest high street in the country - being a well used stop over for coaches on the London to Bristol Road (the A4). The coaching inn is still in business. There are many coffee shops, bars and restaurants to choose from and Waitrose and Tesco for provisions, as well as small independent food providers offering superb quality local produce. Lots of fashion and gift shops too! Nearby Hungerford (8 miles) offers fascinating antique shops and barge trips on the canal. Every July the popular Marlborough Jazz Festival takes over the whole town for the weekend. Fantastic music in various pubs and music lovers
Getting around
Easily accessible from the M4, Buckerfields Barn is nestled in the Marlborough Downs, next to the Ridgeway in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. For miles around there are pretty villages with good pubs and fantastic walking over the downs and through designated footpaths and bridleways. West of Marlborough mysterious crop circles appear which cause great interest with scientists and angst to farmers! The ancient site of Avebury is not far and the refurbished Avebury Manor is open to visitors, where you can experience life in different periods of history. There are many interesting areas to visit from Buckerfields Barn and plenty of beautiful walks along footpaths and bridleways. There is a bridleway right next door.
