Here you will find our Georgian farmhouse on 16 acres of paddocks, orchards and gardens and we want you to make it your own during your stay. Stanton is one of Australia’s oldest homes with a rich history. including Martin Cash, the Tasmanian bush ranger who made the family stand and deliver. The kids will love to explore and feed the menagerie. The big paddock is great for kite, drone flying, kicking a football or chasing sheep. We’ll supply the sheep. Tasmania has the most wonderful bounty of fresh locally grown produce and that is what we serve our guests. Find a spot to enjoy a cheese platter and wine on the veranda after a day of sight seeing and then snuggle up in the Drawing Room in front of the open fire with port and pudding in the evening. About the neighbourhood
While you’re here we have so much to explore and experience in the valley. Local beer, cider, whiskey producers and wineries, antique shopping, cooking schools, winding riverside roads through picturesque farmland and roadside stalls with honesty boxes. Hawthorne hedges and poplar rows, hops farms, mountains, rivers, creeks and wilderness. Make sure you visit Mt Field National Park just 35 mins from us and walk to Russell Falls. So many things to do, just ask us!
