Reviewed 15 January 2017 for a stay in December 2016

We loved our stay in this spacious, comfy cottage. Part of a C19 oast house, the cottage has been imaginatively converted, with owner Chris's woodworking skills (he also runs a woodworking school) much in evidence - handmade kitchen, wood panelling and furniture. Wonderful secluded location, with a spacious deck overlooking the spectacular cliffs behind the river Derwent - great for an evening drink. Lovely walks from the house, New Norfolk is a quaint old town to explore, and Hobart and Mt Field National Park are within easy reach. Kay and Chris are exceptionally helpful and friendly hosts. Highly recommended for a weekend break or longer stay.
