We stayed at the Winyu Cabin at Wollemi Retreat. This beautiful mud brick cabin was delightful. Do you mean it is we’re top notch. And just what you need for a little weekend getaway.
It had every think you need. A barbecue, a Firepit, inside fire, oven kettle and wildlife in abundance.
We really enjoyed our time at the cabin to walk outside and see the Milky Way and all the stars to hear the birds in the morning and I even saw a platypus.
I would highly recommend this little cabin perfectly placed close to town, if you forget anything, and a short drive to a major country town.

Great hosts, very informative sending plenty of information before arrival. Beautiful open plan house with heaps of sunshine, we spent most of our time in the unique bushland on the property with rocky escarpments and a running stream spotting wildlife such as wombats, kangaroos and lots of birdlife. We would recommend this stay to anyone looking to unwind.

We spent the New Year period at Wollemi Retreat and it was nothing short of amazing. We were also able to stay in the brand new cabins which were perfect for a large group- there was plenty of room for families and their kids- and those without kids had the privacy and their own space in the cabins. We had no issues whatsoever, our stay couldn’t have been better! Denny was extremely helpful leading up to the booking with recommendations and helpful tips as well as during our stay for any questions we had.
It’s been weeks since our stay and we’re all still talking about how much fun we had!

My partner and I and our two small dogs had a great time. Beautiful views, we enjoyed being in the bush, we had kangaroos on the grass each morning and we spotted a wombat one night! We also enjoyed the abundance of birds. The outdoor spa and fireplace were a bonus. We went into Mudgee & Gulgong and would highly recommend doing this. Would definitely come back again.

Fantastic property and location. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Stunning scenery. The house had everything we needed. Lots of games to keep the kids entertained. Loved the spa and the wood fire stove kept us cosy and warm. Wish we could have stayed longer!
