The Bower’s Hideout is a great place to use as a base to explore the Mudgee region well known as a food and wine destination. The region also provides great opportunities to explore the national parks and take classic rural drives in the area. The Bower’s Hideout is freestanding, self contained studio type accommodation which has been recently renovated so it is fresh, clean and comfortable and has an quirky ‘Bower Bird’ theme. The hideout also has an en suite toilet and bathroom and is fully furnished so you can arrive, drop your bags and relax and if you need supplies there is a well stocked supermarket and liquor store just 2 minutes walk away. At night step outside and take in the million star view!

Great place to stay!
A lovely, peaceful cottage. Very blue & very cosy. Was just right for us after a long, hot day on the road. The host, Shawn was very welcoming & friendly.

GOOD VALUE
Compared to local Motels & Pubs this quirky Studio is quiet & private yet in the heart of town. It has everything a couple would need for an overnight or extended stay. Comfortable bed, well appointed kitchenette, huge TV and modern en-suite which was adequate but not suitable for Sumo Wrestlers. Just a few steps to the local IGA/Liquor storewhich has everything one would need. Will stay again next time we are in town.

Everything you need in a great location
The Bower's Hideout is within walking distance of the IGA, and places to get a good feed at a reasonable price. Kandos is a very friendly little place with a wonderful museum and central to many attractions including the beautiful town of Rylstone and the magnificent Wollomombi National Park. Loved the extra information re the building of The Bower, and really appreciated the way Shawn tries to be eco friendly. Great, comfortable little place.

Unique and beautiful
My husband and I just stayed two nights in this beautiful hideout! Shawn, the owner, has done an excellent job of creating a beautiful ambiance for this accommodation!
It has absolutely everything you could possibly need for your getaway, and if you’re after a peaceful setting, you get that too! Shawn has thought of everything from hundreds of movies to choose from, at the press of the remote, to board games, cards etc. Fullly equiped for a short or long stay, we were not disappointed. I had my breakfast outside in the warm sunshine overlooking this beautiful little town, and I also had a choice of a beautiful outdoor garden shower! It was stunning! I’m definitely heading back to bowers hideout! Thankyou for your friendly service Shawn!

I’m sure the motels in town are great but ....
....they won’t be as good as this place.
The description says it all. It’s a quirky bedsit-style apartment with a well equipped kitchenette, good bathroom and comfy bed.
If you are staying a few days, there is a good collection of books in the bookcase and brochures about local attractions.
My only suggestion for improvements is for an upgrade of the audio system. Otherwise this place scored 10/10 for an overnight stopover.
When I visited, payment was by cash only, but there is an ATM just up the road.

Regarding payment we accept paypal, bpay and direct deposit and prefer this than cash but with last minute bookings it is sometimes easier to take cash.
