However we do welcome slightly larger family groups; if required 1-2 children/infants could sleep on a camp bed / cot up to a maximum of 7 persons in total but the maximum number of adults allowed in the house is strictly 6. This is a house rule. Being well travelled for business and pleasure myself both with and without my children I know what it takes to make a place homely for both adults and kids alike and that is my aim for all of our properties, to create a home away from home for all. We have 39Mb/s fast fibre broadband with BT. Fully redecorated in October 2018 and bedrooms are as follows: - Master (front of property) - Really spacious bright room. King size wooden sleigh bed with brand new Silent Night memory foam mattresses. Bedside tables and lamps. Seat and table in Lovely large Bay window. Clothes hangers for clothes storage. A single camp bed or cot could easily fit here for slightly larger family groups. - Second Bedroom (rear of property) - Stylish modern King size wooden bed with brand new Silent Night memory foam mattresses. Bedside table and lamp. Lovely large box window. Clothes hangers for clothes storage. - Third Bedroom - Note this is a snug room, you walk in and the bed is pretty much in front of you and against the wall with the box window, but it's beautifully decorated and with a lovely window letting lots of light in during the day (front of property) - Beautiful double size wooden bed with brand new Silent Night memory foam mattresses. Bedside table and lamp. Lovely large box window. Ground floor: Secure front door leads to lobby with space for boots, outdoor clothing etc. Stairs to the First floor. From the kitchen the back stairs leads to the back yard, via a secure door where the wheelie bins are stored. First floor - other than the bedrooms described above, which are all accessed off the front landing, there is also: Lounge - to left from first floor landing top of stairs Comfortable and spacious; with window to the rear with wood effect flooring and a lovely gas fire and surround/hearth creates a beautiful focal point. Comfortable 3 and 2 seater leather sofa ensures that you will have lots of comfortable seating to relax on. Please use the selection of local information provided to plan some activities if you are visiting for pleasure. 32' Sony TV with free view channels is also provided. Kitchen/dining room - straight on from the lounge. With wood effect flooring, kitchen has 60:40 fridge freezer, Hotpoint HAG 60 gas cooker with 4 hobs, grill/top oven and main oven, BOSCH microwave, kettle, cafeteria and toaster. Also has Zanussi Jet system turbo dry washer/drier (with detergent) with iron/ironing board, cleaning products/utensils. It is very well equipment with good range or pans, casserole dishes, etc. The large dining table sits 4 (need to be pulled out from the wall to sit 4) and 2 trays are also provided. A highchair can also be provided on request. Also please help yourself to the range of take away menus provided (especially the menus from the world renowned Indian restaurants/take aways which line Ocean Road!!). Main Bathroom - through from the small back lobby from the kitchen. Family bathroom with mains fed (from our brand new combo boiler) shower over bath, towel radiator, wc, wash hand basin/storage drawer and finished off with tiled flooring. Please feel free to use the candles provided to create a nice atmosphere to relax and bathe with. There is ample on street parking right in front of the property. Check in: Please note we use a self check in service which allows a good level of check in for guests arriving late. Bedrooms not used will be locked off. I live in South Shields so will try to meet and greet guests wherever possible and if they would prefer this by prior agreement. However, as I travel regularly I cannot be guaranteed to be around to meet in person but I have support for all of my properties and I am always available via telephone as and when required. Quiet street close to shops and bars. Perfect location for exploring Tyneside with the beach 5 minutes drive away. The apartment was warm, comfortable, nicely decorated and spacious.More

Really well presented, warm, cosy flat. A few minutes walk to metro station, ten minutes walk into town. A wide range of shops, resteraunts and take away outlets nearby. Colin who owns the property could not have been more helpful. Overall an excellent flat.More

About the neighbourhood
We are less than 5 minutes drive/25 minutes walk to the beautiful South Shields Seafront with The Leas, Sandhaven, Littlehaven, Marsden beaches, North & South Marine Parks, and all of the bars and restaurants, etc. Ideally situated centrally in the Westoe area of South Shields but in a really quiet street. The apartment is close enough (five minutes walk) to Chichester metro station for a busier night in South Shields or Newcastle city centre or there are nice restaurants (e.g. Lasun Indian restaurant) and bars (Nine Bar, Hedworth Hall, The County etc) within 2-3 minutes walk.
Getting around
It is 5 minutes walk to both the local Chichester metro station with trains to South Shields, Newcastle city centre and Newcastle Airport. The seafront is approximately a 25 minute walk away. There is a good bus service from Dean / Sunderland Road (a 2-3 minutes walk) to the beautiful South Shields sea front/coast and to Sunderland/Newcastle city centres. There is ample on street free parking available to all our guests.
