Holiday Rental House
The house opens onto a long corridor with quality wooden flooring furnished throughout. To the immediate left is a study room which looks out onto the front approach. The sofa-bed makes this room suitable as a double bedroom (though only adequate for a child rather than an adult) with the added feature of a large study desk that is great for correspondence or using a computer on, as well as a flat-screen TV and DVD player. Make a turn to the left at the end of the hall to step into a spacious open-plan room that comprises the kitchen, dining and living areas. The kitchen has been beautifully designed in classic French white-washed cupboards and a unique chimney flue which adds a touch of true French to the room. One of the dressers in this room also began its life in a French chateau! All the usual kitchen facilities have been artfully concealed behind closed cupboard doors to create a sense of minimalism. Towards the centre of this beautifully conceived room is a small breakfast table whilst a larger, wood dining table sits at the far end of the room, with space for up to eight guests or 10 at a squeeze! The room itself is decorated in neutral tones of grey which blend perfectly together adding to the ambiance of the room. Beyond and tucked slightly away is an inviting living space with two large sofas and a flat-screen TV for entertainment. If this space wasn’t cosy enough, there is a state of the art gas fireplace that serves as a small partition, separating the living space from the dining area and creating a warm, intimate atmosphere to relax in. At the end of the room are large glass patio doors which bring in pools of natural light (in addition to the many sky lights) and open on to a wonderfully grassy garden that has towering trees on all sides providing further privacy. When the sun is shining, why not dine al fresco or simply enjoy the fresh air; there are benches and a dining table arranged which allows wonderful views of the garden! Hidden within the garden is a trampoline. At the top of the first floor, to the right is the master suite which is charmingly decorated in light tones with classic pieces of furniture and a king-sized bed; its beautiful mirrored French wardrobe is a statement piece that matches perfectly with the vintage chandelier and other ornate accents in the room. The en suite bathroom is equally as stylish with a roll-top bathtub and a cream/white finish. The second bedroom is a single room with a good amount of storage and shelving space. Across the hall is the final bedroom which is wonderfully spacious with a single bunk-bed (as well as two extra single mattresses on the floor available on request) and a study desk with book shelves above it. It has a large front-facing window with a cosy window seat scattered with patterned cushions – a snug spot to curl up and read a good book! The shared bathroom on this floor is fully fitted with a good-sized walk in shower and a clean, white tiled finish. Home Truths Please note that, for longer stays in particular, the sofa bed in the study is better for children than adults. There are three bedrooms (two singles, 1 double and a study room with a sofa bed for child) as well as an extra two mattresses for the 7th and 8th guests. The visible area of garden from the house is maintained, however please note that the garden extends around a corner out of sight and this section is more wild. A security deposit of GBP 495 will be pre-authorised by Veeve from your credit/debit card 2 days prior to your check-in date. The deposit will be released after departure, subject to a damage inspection of the accommodation.More

About the neighbourhood
The gorgeous expanse of Richmond Park is right on your doorstep (with the garden backing onto it); it is a national nature reserve and Special Conservation area as well as one of London’s Royal Parks, spreading over 2000 acres (offering fantastic cycling for the family). Its sheer vastness is a rarity in a busy, urban capital City, but what’s more it is home to herds of red and fallow deer, amongst other wildlife, which roam freely and are an incredible sight to see! Take a long walk or picnic in the grounds and you will feel as though you are in the rural countryside! There are several Golf Courses nearby such as Coombe Hill which is a members club however also welcomes visitors (enquire via the website for a booking). There are some convenience stores on Roehampton Vale for local shoppin...
