Town: The market town of Alnwick rests in heart of Northumberland in North East England. Boasting a network of cobbled streets with a vibrant selection of individual shops, pubs, restaurants and takeaways, this town has become a popular base for holidaymakers. Dubbed the Windsor of the North, the town is also home to a medieval castle, which was the location for Hogwarts in the Harry Potter films. Outside of Alnwick, the cities of Newcastle and Edinburgh are easily accessible and provide lots to see and do, perfect for days out.
We had a fantastic holiday in Alnwick. This was our second stay at Pringles Yard & it couldn’t have been better. We enjoyed some lovely days out at Alnwick Garden, Cragside National Trust & Alnmouth beach. Had a lovely Sunday lunch at Adam & Eve (next door) & we recommend Mumbai Indian too. Thank you so much for a great stay, we hope to visit again soon!

A great choice in Alnwick
A really lovely flat in the heart of town - wit friendly and helpful (not overpowering) hosts. The rooms were comfy and full of interest. The living room and kitchen areas gave a great social space, and the kitchen was fully equipped if you want to self-cater.
Alnwick is a great base - handy for local walks and buses to get to nearby villages and the beautiful coast.
As beer enthusiasts we found a number of excellent pubs/bars, and can recommend Ale Gate, Tanners and - for a really traditional vibe - the John Bull, all a few minutes from the flat. There are a huge range of eating options from Carlos' brilliant fish & chips to fine dining if you don't want to cook yourself.

Absolutely lovely stay here in the most quirky place we’ve stayed :D
My mum and I stayed here for a whole week in April to attend a wedding and explore Alnwick. We had a great time at Pringles Yard! we loved the quirkiness of the whole place and it really had a homely feel to it. The hosts were very friendly and helpful and were always there if we needed any advice on such as where to dine I felt very comfortable here and so did my mum.
I would highly recommend this place to stay, especially if you have a young family as they have a pool table and games to play which was so wholesome! It was nice to be able to sit in the window and read a book and watch the world go by, or chill watching some tv/play a game. There was plenty of things to do around Alnwick too and overall we had a lovely time! Thank you for letting us stay at Pringles Yard, we hope to see you at your other accommodation at Whitley Bay

Fantastic stay
We stayed at this apartment as a family of 4 with our 2 young children. It was perfect with lots of space for everyone. So much to do in the area - we enjoyed Alnwick Gardens, Whitehouse Farm, Alnmouth beach, and the children enjoyed the swimming pool and soft play at Alnwick leisure centre. Still lots more to do in the area so we plan to return again in the summer. The apartment is right across the road from Morrisons too which was very handy! Thank you so much for a lovely stay.

Pringles Yard
A fantastic quirky holiday home in the heart of Alnwick. The location is central & a short walk from Alnwick Castle, where there is also a park run on a Saturday morning. I cannot recommend this place enough.

We have just had a fantastic long weekend stay it had a home from home feel, very quirky.which we love ❤️ .it is well thought out with everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay.
We love the use of eclectic furnishings, everywhere you looked there was something different to see 👀 it's been put together in a stylish way with lovely upcycled pieces.
We enjoyed Alnwick shops and dirty bottles for lunch.we also paid a visit to barter books which is dog friendly like most of the shops.
Sunday we went to Amble and Almouth.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay will be back again.

Quirky, spacious apartment, great for local area.
Lovely and very quirky apartment which is handy walking distance for everything in Alnwick. Went with adult daughter and teenage boy and were able to spend time together and apart in the town and local area. The apartment was spotless when we arrived and is well laid out over the three floors with plenty of room to relax. The owners are just at the end of the phone if needed and very friendly. Already talking about staying here again as it's a great base for the North East.
Recommend Alnwick gardens and the adventure golf for a nice walk out and Barter's books for a browse and a brew. Further afield the beaches at Embleton and Alnmouth are amazing, go in the evening for a quiet beach! Dunstanburgh castle is a good walk from Craster but is worth the trek for the views. Loads of places to eat locally and Morrisons is just a 3 minute walk for top up food shops. Carlos ice cream is absolutely delicious and if you choose fruit flavours it counts as one of your 5-a-day honest!

Hidden gem in a fab location!
What a gorgeous, quirky, unique and funky apartment this is! We visited for a few days with our two kids and they’re already asking when we can go back! The apartment is in a superb, central location and is a great space for a family (or friends) to hang out. It’s ideal for exploring the north east and the space is bigger than the pictures have you believe. We spent a lot of time playing pool and listening to good tunes, making the most of the home-from-home space. Kris and Deborah were at the end of the phone for anything we needed and super helpful with recommendations etc. We’ll definitely be back.
