Four Mill Wharf is on the first floor of this award winning conversion, provides excellent accommodation for couples, and is easily accessible by lift or stairs.
The open plan living space has amazing views across the fascinating harbour and estuary towards the historic walled town of Berwick upon Tweed, and to the sea beyond. It offers the opportunity to spot the famous Berwick swans, grey seals, and dolphins.

We do not live on site. The granary conversion is a multi occupancy building and as we cannot leave keys for collection we will welcome you personally at the beginning of your stay. After that we are hands- off unless you need our assistance. We will ask you for an estimated time of arrival so we can greet you. We try to be flexible on entry and leaving times. If we have been able to complete the changeover early we will text you to let you know before the 3pm arrival time. If we have no guests arriving on the day of your departure we can be flexible on the 10am leaving time. Guests leave the keys in the post box on departure. We can suggest things to do, restaurants, and hidden gems in the area.

About the neighbourhood
Berwick town is an ideal centre for exploring the region, but also has many attractions of its own.
A walled town, fortified by Elizabeth I during a time of serious conflict between England and Scotland, there are interesting walks round the ramparts and the quainter parts of this old town, boasting 900 years of history. Walks along the harbour wall, or along the river Tweed offer the opportunity to spot seals, dolphins, otters, and of course the famous Berwick Swans – a colony of almost 800 birds.
And when your walks have worked up a thirst or appetite, Berwick offers a wide choice of restaurants, pubs and cafes to suit every taste.
Getting around
Berwick is ideally situated for train links to London, Edinburgh and Newcastle via the mainline routes. There are regular bus services to surrounding towns and several scenic coastal bus services from Berwick to Newcastle. Berwick town is easily accessible on foot from the apartment and the stroll to town gives lovely views over the river and out to sea. There is free parking available in Berwick. If you just want to potter around Berwick and enjoy some local walks you can probably abandon your car during the holiday. If you bring your car you will find most of the roads are comparatively quiet and you will enjoy many beautiful views as you drive around Northumberland

How to get there
We will send you full directions to the apartment prior to your arrival. There are airports at Edinburgh and Newcastle both about an hours car travel away. There are regular trains from both Edinburgh and Newcastle station calling at Berwick. If you let us know of your train arrival time we can usually pick you up from the station. There is free parking in Berwick with the use of a parking disk available in the apartment
