With stunning panoramic views across rural Northumberland to the sea, the raised deck at the Bothy is the perfect spot for a relaxing sundowner after a busy day exploring this beautiful area. The Bothy is a new conversion (completed in June 2015) of the East Wing of a country house, originally a Reiver farm dating from the 17th century. Designed by the owners to provide a very comfortable and spacious home for up to 2 guests, the Bothy is contemporary, stylish and very private - the perfect getaway for a relaxing holiday or short break.
Within 15 minutes' drive: historic Berwick-upon-Tweed, miles of unspoilt sandy beach, the causeway to Holy Island, the Cheviot Hills and the river Tweed.

Pub and village shop in Lowick (3 miles) with main shopping in Berwick-upon-Tweed (7 miles).

Perfect location for exploring or relaxing. The Bothy has everything you could wish for. The sun room has amazing views. Friendly owners who are happy to help with anything you need and made us very welcome with the personal touch of flowers, wine and shortbread....More

We loved everything about the Bothy, its very, very comfortable and spacious and has everything you could possibly need. An added plus is that it's in a lovely quiet secluded location and the views from the sun room are wonderful. We had a wonderful stay...More

Cyclists will enjoy the quiet country roads and can follow the coastal section of the NCN1 or the NCN68 (Pennine Cycleway).

Golf - the nearest is the Open Championship qualifier course at Goswick (10 minutes) and a wide choice of other courses within half an hour's drive include Bamburgh, the Hirsel at Coldstream, Duns, and the clifftop course at Eyemouth. Up to an hour's drive takes you to Muirfield, North Berwick, Dunbar and many others.
