My brand new eco cottage is built in the heart of the lovely village of Badby. Built to a very high standard it uses natural material finishes where possible. It has two bedrooms with flexible sleeping layout (twin or super king to master bedroom), two bathrooms, comfortable lounge, fully fitted kitchen and sofa bed. The property benefits from the very latest heating technologies featuring a Hanson Formpave Themopave Ground Source Heat system, plus Solar powered hot water and underfloor heating throughout. Just a short stroll to two great country pubs which serve real ales and home cooked food. Ideally located as a base to see the numerous attractions which surround us or for a quiet walking holiday. We had a really lovely time in the cottage and village. The house was well equipped and very comfortable and warm. Everything we needed was available and all the beds were comfortable, including a quality double sofa bed. Nice bathrooms too and good parking space....More

The cottage was very comfortable, clean and warm. The toiletries provided were most welcome, as were the tea, coffee, sugar and milk. Not many cottages also have a freezer which, again, was very useful. Unfortunately the TV was not working when we arrived but the...More

About the neighbourhood
Special interest: There are numerous walks in the area including the Knightley Way and Nene Way which both start in the village and run through the adjacent Badby Woods. The woods are famous for their bluebells in spring and are home to numerous species of wildlife. These include Muntjac and Roe Deer, Woodpeckers, Badgers and many species of wild birds. We are also lucky enough to have two grab local pubs which serve home cooked food and are just a short stroll from the door of the cottage.
How to get there
We are located 5 miles south of Daventry on the A361 towards Banbury. Just 20 minutes from the M40 and 20 minutes from the M1 motorways. Airport distances-- Birmingham 33 miles--Luton 48 miles, East Midlands 48miles--Heathrow 79 miles--Stanstead 98 miles--Gatwick 116 miles.
