Whether you are looking for a quiet break away from the busy hustle of the city, or a base for walking or exploring the area, we can make sure your stay is the relaxing break you are looking for. The rural village of Langar is a relatively well kept secret and lies within the beautiful Vale of Belvoir. The Unicorn's Head, our local village pub, is an even shorter walk offering a wide range of meals 7 days a week. The cottage is set in the grounds of a Grade II listed Georgian farmhouse and has its own paddock and field views. The accommodation comprises 2 elegant bedrooms, both of which are en-suite. A welcome hamper will await you at the cottage. It includes some basic items as well as freshly laid eggs from our own farmhouse hens! There is a large private garden with south facing patio area on which to eat breakfast or to simply stargaze in the evening. Parking for 2-3 cars is on the private drive adjacent to the cottage. More

The cottage is your private space. We are conveniently based next door to the cottage so are on hand most of the time to help with any queries, suggest local walks or days out to National Trust properties, or a foodie tour to forage for speciality cheeses and pork pies! You’ll feel entirely unscrutinised here with your own views, parking spaces, own patio and garden to enjoy in peace. Come and say hello to our pet chickens, then sample their delicious eggs over lazy breakfast!

About the neighbourhood
Ideal for tourists, foodies, and business stays, the Vale of Belvoir is a closely guarded secret of walks, cycle rides (both on and off road), historic houses and pretty rural villages. And we are just 12 miles from the city of Nottingham. Visit the historic market towns of Melton Mowbray, Oakham, Newark and Bingham. Follow the foodie trail of pork pies, Belvoir Pressé and of course Stilton cheese. We are only 2 miles away from the famous Cropwell Bishop and Colston Bassett creameries. Sporting attractions - just 8 miles from the National water Sports Centre and also the famous Trent Bridge cricket ground. There are some splendid golf courses a short drive away (the Nottinghamshire, Ramsdale, Edwalton, Holingwell to name but a few).
Getting around
A car is ideal as we are located in a small rural village. There is a bus service during the day (Monday-Saturday) and a train station just 4 miles away in Bingham with connections to Nottingham and Grantham.
