Just 90 paces from the front door will set you on the beach at the famous Royal Native Oyster Stores Restaurant. A public car park is just around the corner while the Tudor Tea Rooms, the Horsebridge Arts Centre, boutique shops, galleries, restaurants and bars are all close by. Refurbished by local designer/builder, Kas Kasparian, Flat One is located in what was once the Palais de Luxe, a historic cinema which showed silent movies. Enjoyed 5 night stay at flat one perfect decor and f acilites also very quiet quite at night, close to shops and eating out Julie is so helpful and kind,would stay again hopefully very soon

Flat One has a spacious double bedroom with vaulted ceiling and skylight. The kitchen has all new appliances, a real marble worktop, slate draining board and butler's sink. There is a gas hob (no oven). The sofa bed in the living room can sleep two further guests. There is a Deco feel with a white cupboard in the hallway with distinctive radiussed corners, while the bathroom has a walk-in shower, black floor tiles, white wall tiles and porthole window features.

About the neighbourhood
Whitstable is a wonderful coastal town, famous for its association with the oyster industry.
It holds an Oyster Festival every July commencing with a parade and followed by a whole week's celebration of culture and gastronomy.

Locally caught seafood is a speciality. There are Michelin starred restaurants here as well as a wonderful old fish and chip shop in Harbour Street that survived the great Flood in 1953.

Many artists and musicians have settled here so there are plenty of galleries, exhibitions and concerts. A beautiful tea garden overlooks the sea opposite Whitstable Castle.

Bikes can be hired and plenty of water sports are on offer with tuition and hire from the Yacht Club.

By Rail - about 1 hour 20 minute journey from Victoria Station. Also a fast rail link from St Pancras. Flat One is then just a 12 minute walk from Whitstable Station or you can take a cab from the station.

By Air - London Gatwick/ Heathrow offer worldwide flights.

By Ferry - from Dover or Folkestone. (Approximately a 40 minute drive to Whitstable)
