This well-presented modern cosy cottage for two is perfect for a romantic break with it's four poster bed. The cottage enjoys an enviable location, quietly tucked away in a courtyard development just 200 yards from the heart of Sandwich, one of the best preserved medieval towns in Britain. It is also just around the corner from beautiful riverside walks and the town cricket ground, perfect for dog walking. Sandwich is one of the ancient Cinque Ports which supplied ships and men to the British navy in the Middle Ages. Among its many attractions are narrow streets with half-timbered houses, the River Stour with its picturesque quay, world famous golf courses, beautiful parks and a variety of independent shops, restaurants and pubs. Lovely location in gorgeous Sandwich. So close to fantastic dog walks and very handy supermarket. Very well equipped. It is small, no question about that, but very compact and clean and well decorated.

About the neighbourhood
Stour Cottage is situated in a conservation area just 200m from the centre of Sandwich and also just a hop, skip and a jump to beautiful riverside walks away from traffic, perfect for dog walking. Just around the corner is the cricket ground and playing field which is great for giving dogs a free run as it is completely away from roads. Sandwich is one of the best preserved medieval towns in England, it is also one of the ancient Cinque Ports which supplied ships and men to the British navy in the Middle Ages. Among its many attractions are narrow streets with half-timbered houses, the River Stour with its picturesque quay, world famous golf courses, beautiful parks and a variety of independent shops, restaurants and pubs.
How to get there
Sandwich railway station is a 15 minute walk from the cottage. Sandwich Cars is the local taxi form who can be booked for local journeys or to pick you up from the station if you have lots of luggage. The local buses are fantastic and run to most places from the stop at the Guildhall forecourt next to the tourist information office.
