We visited Herefordshire and stayed at this barn. It was very well presented with the living area upstairs. The barn was beautifully decorated, and kept very clean. The open plan living area was very good for a small family to stay. The area is very close to a beautiful nature reserve, and the barn is in a small grouping of other barns. There were many nesting birds which highlights the rural setting. A very quiet and tranquil place to stay to explore some beautiful countryside nearby.

Reviewed 4 November 2015 for a stay in October 2015

We spent a wonderful week in this stylish, comfortable but homely barn in October. All correspondence with the owners was dealt with promptly and professionally and was full of useful details not only about the property but also the local area, facilities and interesting places to visit. The barn was equipped with everything we needed, was warm and cosy, with luxurious touches, like the bedding, crockery and furnishings and a nice surprise filled tuck box on arrival. Although in a quiet, peaceful, rural setting its within easy reach of some beautiful countryside and historic villages and towns to visit. We particularly enjoyed Pembridge, Ludlow, and Eardisland and the walk over Hergest Ridge ( easily found in Kington) although a steep climb was well worth the effort, the views are amazing. There were also lots of local, well marked footpaths around the barn that meant we could leave the car behind and enjoy the local pubs. We couldn't have had a better base for our first visit to...

About the neighbourhood
Titley is in a little gem of an area with beautiful scenery and truly unspoilt countryside. It is situated in fantastic walking country, close to Offa's Dyke and is on the Mortimer Trail. Rural and peaceful but not isolated it is only 3 miles from the characterful market towns of Presteigne and Kington.

Titley Pool Nature Reserve is tucked away just behind the barn which looks out up to the hills of Radnor Forest. The glacial lake is home to swans and numerous bird species including great crested grebe and pied flycatcher that can be viewed from a secluded bird hide. This is really getting close to nature and you can while away many an hour virtually undisturbed overlooking the lake and strolling through the reserve. The adjacent meadows have been unploughed for centuries and a...
