Julie very helpful from the start of booking to arriving. But on arriving the outside of the lodge a bit tatty with weeds everywhere and shrubs overgrown - so using the off street parking for our large vehicle not an option. Although the website says...More

Designed to take advantage of the stunning views across the valley, the main living area is on the first floor, while the ground floor features a generously sized entrance hall, a Master Bedroom complete with en-suite bathroom, and with a second bedroom and beds that can either be taken as twins or doubles, there is scope for both family and party breaks.
The spacious separate bathroom offers shower, bath and toilet facilities, with the adjoining airing cupboard providing storage and clothes drying space should you get wet whilst out in the countryside. One of our favourites, there is always something new to see, and plenty to keep children occupied, also has a restaurant if you need a snack.

Houghton Lodge Gardens

Spectacular country house and gardens, well worth a visit but do check opening times.

Mottisfont Abbey

Wonderful National Trust owned property with great history and architecture, rose gardens and riverside lawns, great for a leisurely wander around.

BY CAR: From the A303 follow signs to Stockbridge, from the A34 south follow signs for Stockbridge, from Winchester, Romsey, Salisbury and Andover follow signs for Stockbridge. At the White Hart roundabout at the eastern end of the High Street, Old London Road runs behind the Stockbridge Primary School; follow this to the far end and you will see the Lodge on the right hand side overlooking the road. If you get to the far end of the road, you’ve gone 50m too far!

BY RAIL: We are 15 minutes by taxi from Winchester Station, 20 minutes by taxi from Salisbury Station.
