Nice cottage with an excellent view. Loved the small towns and pubs nearby. Our stay was amazing. Josephine was and excellent hostess. We appreciated her very much.

My husband and our friend (three of us total) spent two nights at Galvins Cottage, and it was utterly perfect! We chose this place due to it's location to Skellig Michael and our planned drives around both the Rings of Kerry and Dingle, as well...More

Great house in a stunning location perfect for our family & pet dog. Brilliant Facilities with all you need and a great host Josephine who brought us lovely banana bread. Highly recommend for anyone looking to stay in beautiful Derrynane with the Wild Atlantic Way...More

Galvins Cottage is situated in the Skellig Region, an area of stunning views,diverse landscapes, rugged coastline, rolling hills and golden beaches. The area is renowned for its heritage sites the most noted being the Skellig Rocks UNESCO World Heritage Site,the larger island Skellig Michael is the world's finest example of an early Christian monastic settlement dating back to the 6th or 7th century, the smaller island Little Skellig is home to thousands of Gannets, Puffins, Guillemats and Cormorants.There are a number of locally licensed boats operating trips to the rocks. Other sites worth visiting is Staigue Fort an example of an ancient stone fort near Castlecove, Ogham stones or early christian settlements dotted around the region.

BY AIR: From London to CORK (Aer Lingus or Ryan Air) KERRY (Ryan Air from Stansted, Luton and Manchester.
Many other UK airports also offer flights to Cork.
BY SEA: There is a choice of sailings from the South West of England to Rosslare,
-STENALINE operate two daily 3½ hour crossings (all year) and two daily 1¾ hour high speed sailings (March -September) from Fishguard.
IRISH FERRIES also operate twice daily crossings to Rosslare from Pembroke, which take 4 hours, but the driving time from London takes half an hour less than to Fishguard,
