April Cottage is over 200 years old and built of limestone. Located in the White Peak area of the Peak District National Park, it offers very comfortable accommodation for 2 or 3 people in twin and single rooms at any time of year. Upstairs accommodation is completed by a (new 2015) shower room while downstairs comprises a kitchen and lounge/dining room equipped for 3 persons.

It is situated on the flat central road through the village of Youlgrave (local spelling) with 3 pubs, a baker of cakes and pastries, village post office and garage in very close proximity.

Walks direct from the cottage include Lathkill Dale, Bradford Dale and Haddon Hall and the village also lies on the Limestone Way. Bakewell and Chatsworth are within a few miles and on an 11 mile radius are the Market Towns of Buxton, Asbourne and Chesterfield.

Buses run regularly to Bakewell with an hourly service to Youlgreave thereafter (not Sunday).
