Located at the centre of the quiet village of Heversham in the picturesque South Lakes, The Coach House is an 18th century barn conversion. The Coach House has 3 bedrooms, a double with ensuite bathroom, a twin and a bunk bedroom with full size single beds.The main bathroom has a whirlpool bath, so you can relax with a book or a glass of bubbly. Decorated with a contemporary finish, original oak beams and stone walls have been preserved to give the cottages true character. Interaction with guests: 
On your day of arrival you can check in any time after 2.30pm. A code will be sent to you in the week prior to your arrival to enable you to access the key from a secure box located by the front door to the cottage. We leave a welcome tray with as much tea and coffee as you can drink to refresh you from your journey and will pop round after your arrival to check you have settled in. There is a folder full of information about the cottage and local amenities, restaurants, places to visit, maps to guide you around Cumbria, and a box of leaflets about visitor attractions, boat and train rides, outdoor activities, and much more. We also live in the village so are on hand for any queries or help required.

Excellent cottage

Great base to explore the Lakes

Loved the Coach House, plenty of room for 3 adults, 2 teenagers and a large boisterous labrador. The property was immaculately clean, very well equipped, even down to coffee, tea, sugar, cling film and kitchen roll! Washing machine and dishwasher made life much easier too....More

About the neighbourhood
Surrounded by farmland, the area is excellent for low level walks, cycling and bird watching. Walk from the door up Heversham Head for beautiful views and stunning sunsets over the Lakeland fells and the estuary at Arnside, a designated area of outstanding beauty. Deer parks, Levens Hall, Sizergh Castle, Kendal market town, Brewery arts centre, Climbing Wall, Windermere Ferries, Leighton Moss Bird Sanctuary, Wild Life Oasis - home to merecats! ...... All within a few miles of Heversham.
Getting around
There is a bus that runs through the village to take you all the way through the centre of the Lake District. 1st stop Kendal, last stop Keswick, with stops at Windermere, Ambleside and Grasmere on route. Arnside train station is just 5 miles from the cottage, providing access to south Lakes or Lancaster, Morecambe and beyond. Oxenholme is the station on the main line from Manchester to Scotland, and is situated on the outskirts of Kendal. There are also a number of local taxis. The cottage is located in the village of Heversham, and only 10 minutes from junction 35 on the M6. It's very easy to find by car, and full directions will be sent with your booking confirmation.
