We stayed here two times when visiting with our family, once in the lower level and once in the upper level. The photos do not come close to describing what a beautiful place and property this is. The history and character are incredible. The owners are the nicest, caring, helpful and interesting people you feel you have known for years when you talk with them. You feel at home In this comfortable place that you hate to leave. If you are looking for a place in the Smiths Falls or Perth area there is nothing that comes close to comparing.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Artmakers Studio. Janice and Garry were welcoming hosts and available to help if needed. The time and care that they put into the studio is evident. The space was clean and well furnished, with extra touches like a telescope, boardgames and local things to do. The main oven did not work but a toaster oven was available instead. Loved climbing the bell tower to the quiet top floor. Definitely recommended!

This property was incredible! It checked off all of our boxes, and even the boxes we didn't anticipate. I would definitely recommend this property to others, and I would stay there again next time I'm in the area.

Had a lovely, too-short stay with Janice and Gary. They were very warm and welcoming. The space is so lovely and had everything we needed. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. A really nice location to explore surrounding towns. We didn't try the spring-fed natural pool, but it looked lovely. They've done a lovely job at restoring the old church and turning it into someplace truly special. Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

From the warm welcome we received from Janice and Gary to the fascinating historical building, our stay was really beyond words. The atmosphere created in this very unique loft is so rare and special it’s hard to describe, it is something that has to be experienced. Everywhere you look the attention to detail, the artistic touch, the whole experience draws you in and you cannot help but feel peaceful and relaxed. This is not jut a typical room for the night, it is a spacious very well equipped inviting home away from home. You become immersed in the history and culture of the settlement here. Janice and Gary make you feel this way as well, the attention to detail is not only found in the grounds and loft, but in the way they treat you from the minute you arrive. It is located in just the right spot to explore the region and our stay here was really the highlight of our trip.

What absolutely amazing stay in this one of a kind property, it was the highlight of our trip. From the wonderful welcoming hospitality of Janice and Gary to discovering the intricate artistic touches throughout made our stay one we will not forget soon, we didn’t want to leave. The roominess of the loft, comfortable beds and living areas with full kitchen make you feel right at home from the minute you arrive. We now know where to stay on our next trip to this area, we will never find anything better.
