Foxgloves is a very special, south facing, lovingly restored old cornish country cottage set in a privately owned, secluded wooded valley.The small village of Upton Cross is just a 2 minute drive away.The village has a good pub, The Caradon Inn, that serves food,a village shop/post office and the renowned Sterts Open Air theatre.The market town of Liskeard is 6 miles away. The adjacent owner's cottage is the only other property in the valley.On the edge of woodland, bounded by a stream at the bottom of the private, lawned garden, it has an abundance of wild flowers including foxgloves and bluebells.Watch the buzzard hawks wheeling and circling above the valley.Enjoy walks in the woods that start at the bottom of the garden. Go to sleep to the soothing sound of the stream whispering in the night.Wake up to birdsong.Enjoy walking on nearby Bodmin Moor. Foxgloves is tastefully furnished in a classic country style.Full of character, it has flagstoned floors, beamed ceilings and granite hearths. There are two splendid, huge , original, granite fireplaces complete with wood burners.There are 3 bedrooms, 2 with double beds,(1 king size, 1 4'6') and one twin bedded room with 2 single 3' divans.Family bathroom with bath and shower.Dining room to seat 6, sitting room to seat 6. TV, DVD, broadband connection, radio/cd player.Fitted kitchen with fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble drier, electric cooker, microwave.Bed linen and towels provided. (Please bring own beach towels). Electric heating provided. First basket of logs provided. Arrival 4pm. Foxgloves is a unique, cherished cottage, offering a memorable cornish holiday experience. Because the surrounding roads are all very narrow with blind bends it was very stressful to try and drive out of the very deep valley It therefore did not help that the t.v was very poor quality and the internet modem did not provide decent...More
