It consists of two bedrooms, an open plan living room/kitchen/dining room, broadband WIFI, English-language satellite TV (with major UK channels) and a bathroom and separate toilet. About the neighbourhood
Beaucaire is an ancient town on the Rhone River. From the 15th to the 19th century it was the main Mediterranean market and trading center in France. As a result, the town is full of palaces built by rich traders over the centuries. This apartment is in one of the grandest building in the town, the 'Hotel de Luxembourg.' Only 15 km from Arles and Saint Rémy and 25 km from Avignon, Beaucaire is an ideal touring base from which to explore Provence, the Camargue, the Languedoc and much of the south of France. Nearby attractions include Roman amphitheaters, castles, medieval villages, Van Gogh landscapes, open-air markets, horse-riding, wine-tasting and boating.
How to get there
Driving Directions Driving Directions From the A7 highway from Paris, take the 'Avignon sud ' exit (# 24) and follow signs to 'Chateaurenard'. Drive across town and make a left on the Ring Road (D 28) towards 'Arles' and 'Tarascon'. One kilometer beyond Graveson, take the right fork on to the D 970 towards 'Tarascon-Beaucaire' (NOT 'Arles.'). Continue another 10 km until you reach Tarascon. Drive through the center of Tarascon and on to the bridge to Beaucaire. Just before the end of the bridge there is an exit marked 'Champ de Foire.' Take that exit and drive about 800 meters (past the 'Base Nautique' on your right) until you come to a large building called the 'Casino.'
