Chris and her husband were charming hosts and welcomed us warmly. Their home reveals their very individual taste and style, their artistic interests are on display throughout the house. The approach can be off-putting as it appeared to be not well maintained and a bit scruffy but there was ample parking. The apartment is on the top floor of three and comprises a large open-plan living area with modern kitchen, large dining table and two comfortable sofas as well as two twin bedrooms and a double. There is a small bathroom and separate very small toilet - this would not be adequate for 6 people. bedrooms are basic but do have their own washbasins.
The overall presentation and standard of finish is quite poor - lots of amateur diy.
The apartment would have been adequate for our stay, however it was unusually hot in early September - 32 degrees - and the air-conditioning unit in the lounge was not effective enough - cool air came out the front but the outlet pipe blew hot air beneath a curtain into a cupboard area and then came back into the lounge reducing the overall effectiveness, it was also noisy. the fans in the bedrooms had little impact with indoor temperatures at night being 28 degrees. Opening windows allowed insects in so we had to suffer the heat. As a consequence of this we left halfway through our stay, having had very little sleep. We cannot blame Chris for the weather however we had chosen this property because of the advertised air-conditioning which unfortunately was inadequate.
As previously mentioned the outside area is not particularly attractive - including the pool area - there is very little landscaping - it is quite open, dusty and bare. The pool is not accessible in the mornings - this did not affect us but it might others. It does not lend itself to relaxing outside.
