We had a wonderful time staying in Greg's house. The location was perfect, the calm and beautiful sunsets of Eel Bay. The house was spotless, cozy and worked well for my husband and I plus three college aged kids. Everything inside was new and very tastefully decorated. Greg provided paper goods to get us started, as well as spices and water. Everything you need is supplied in the kitchen: dishes, cooking utensils, silverware, glasses, pots, pans, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, etc. Outside was equally wonderful. The porch was blissful in the morning, watching fishing boats and loons, sipping coffee. In the evening - those sunsets were truly amazing. There's a gas grill and griddle, a patio with lots of Adirondack chairs for resting, reading, and visiting. And, the kids enjoyed the kayaks thoroughly!
Greg was an awesome host - answering all questions in a timely manner, and he gave us a tour of the property to make sure we were set at arrival. Another bonus is the launch, boat slip, and parking for vehicles and boat trailer!
Things to keep in mind when you rent this property - you take you garbage off the island with you to a dumpster on mainland. Easy enough and conveniently located, but be prepared to do so. Mornings on the porch in August are cool (we bring cozy blankets to enjoy it); afternoons are toasty after the sun comes over - perfect for swimming and boating.
