Wonderful Cottage and Host
Nestled in a vineyard this was such a quaint cottage to while away our 5 day stay. Very romantic setting with log fire, balcony and a several wonderful local restaurants our favourite being Succulent . Jane is the perfect host offering a list of local vineyards, restaurants and local attractions with nothing too much trouble. When we do come back to Robertson we will definitely be staying at Klaasvoogds Cottage.

An amazing cottage in an amazing location
We spent 9 nine days travelling around the Western Cape area and whilst everywhere was amazing, this was our most favourite place of all. It had great space and the views are to die for. It was such a comfortable home-from-home, everything has been thought of and Jane offered all sorts of help and suggestions to make our stay as good as it could be. An added bonus when away from home was the occasional visit from Jack and Daisy - 2 very friendly farm dogs. With Jane's help we found the wonderful Kleinhoekkloof wine tasting and charcuterie platters which are a must do when visiting. We can't wait to go back but would stay for much longer next time.

Central and delightful
We spent three nights in The Cottage, the smaller of the two properties at Klaasvoogds Cottages - with its whitewashed walls and Provençal blue shutters, it is truly gorgeous. The Cottage is more than comfortable, very well equipped, and has many thoughtful touches. Situated in the midst of verdant vineyards with spectacular views all around, it is both a lovely place to take a break, and as a base from which to explore the greater Robertson Wine Valley. Jane's welcome, information and support were wonderful, and we couldn't have asked for a more delightful host. There are plenty of really good nearby restaurants, so you don't have to self-cater at all, if you don't want to. Well worth the visit and we're already talking about a return visit.

Fantastic stay in a beautiful region
This is a hidden gem in the valley of the Langberg Mountains. We stayed in the Opstal (homestead) and it was a treat! Beautiful rooms, well appointed, and spectacular views from every corner of the house across the vineyards. The local wineries and olive farm are a must visit, and there's plenty to do in the region. The daybeds at the Opstal are the perfect place to unwind with a bottle of the local wine to watch the evening set in. Charlie and Jane were super hosts and made us feel very welcome. Will definitely come again!

It was such a pleasure to have you to stay and we're glad you enjoyed exploring our beautiful valley. Thank you for the Australian whisky. It was so good that despite all our home-made wine it was gone in no time at all. Look forward to seeing you again. Wamest regards Jane and Charles

Beautiful, immaculate gem in the middle of stunning winelands
My wife and I go away on weekend getaways often, and seldom have I encountered accommodation as nice as this. There are trees, perfect green lawn, beautiful roses and stunning green vineyards as far as the eye can see. The cottage itself is a converted historical building, with lots of full-length french windows with spectacular views in all directions. It is comfortably furnished with a huge bath, great shower and a lovely sized bed with fresh, clean linen. There are lots of little touches that show that the owners really have put some thought into it - like cold water and fresh milk in the fridge and salt/pepper/tea/coffee etc provided, as well as a well equipped little kitchen. There are lots of things to do in the area, but if you are like us, you'll probably just spend most of your time on the patio, braaiing and listening to the dawn and dusk chorus of all the little creatures living in the area. The owner is a lovely lady and nothing is too much trouble. Really recommended.

Exquisite
This is one of the most beautiful places I've stayed at. We celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary by staying at Klaasvoogds cottage. It is beautifully decorated, with its orange wood floors and blue shutters. We had everything we needed except good steak knives. We so enjoyed the luxurious bath. Love the stunning views and close proximity to everything but still feel like you are away in the country. Jane was very informative and very friendly and also told us we could stay as long as we liked on checkout day. I would come back in a heartbeat. Loved every moment.

Elegant Farm Cottage in Perfect Valley Setting
I've explored the Western Cape for 20 years and this is by far the best space I've stayed in. Tucked between vineyard and olive grove, this tidy farm cottage features floor-to-ceiling windows that allow for tons of natural light and, of course, 360 degree views of the beautiful Breede River Valley. Wherever you are in the house - bath, bed, couch, stoep, deckchair - there is a view. Klaasvoogds is in a perfect location. A coffee shop hidden on a lavender farm is five minutes away. Amble up the hill to a boutique wine farm. Take a short drive down the road to one of South Africa's best olive farms. Enjoy tastings at both. We travelled to Robertson in winter. With snow on the mountain (a rarity) we were a little concerned about getting cold. Fortunately, Klaasvoogds is well equipped for winter. A sturdy wood stove quickly heats the living room, and portable heaters take care of the rest. What an amazing place.
