Kitchen fully equipped with fridge freezer, electric oven and hob, dishwasher and washer dryer. Includes Microwave, toaster and kettle. The property has a small garden with a heated pool, plus covered outside dinning, lounge and Braai. Rubicon Cottage is managed by Chris & Lorraine on behalf of its owners, on arrival Chris will meet you and supply keys to the property and gate access & alarm fobs, additionally he will provide details of the Wi-Fi, Chris will be available by phone throughout your stay should you there be any difficulties. Chris can also provide essential catering supplies for use on arrival, if required such as Milk, bread, coffee & Tea etc subject to payment. Lists of things to do and details of local restaurants are found in the draws in the lounge. The cottage has a DSTV hotel package incl News, some sports and entertainment packages.

About the neighbourhood
Franschhoek is a town in South Africa’s Western Cape with centuries-old vineyards and Cape Dutch architecture. Trails wind through flowers and wildlife at Mont Rochelle Nature Reserve to views over Franschhoek Valley. The Huguenot Memorial Museum and neighboring monument honor the area’s French settlers, who arrived in the 17th and 18th centuries. Franschhoek Motor Museum displays vintage cars amid mountain farmland. A drive up the Franschhoek pass to the Mont Rochelle park provides panoramic views of the valley and occasional sightings of Baboons and other local wildlife.
Getting around
The cottage is located near the centre of the town within 5-10 minutes of the shops and restaurants. The wine tram located in the centre of the town facilitates access to the numerous vineyards and has several routes to suit individuals preferences of which vineyards to visit. Guest wanting to wander further afield require a car, Stellenbosch is 30km Paarl 30km. With Cape Town an hour by car.
