We could not have asked for a warmer welcome, such a easy place for a large group.
We stayed here in the last few days of December and early January 2015. We were two families travelling together. On our arrival we were met by Emin who could not have been more helpful or welcoming. Having answered all our questions patiently we were able to easily found our way around exploring the New York area. The house was very comfortable, had plenty of space and was very well equipped. Most importantly it was very clean. What a relief as it had all been booked entirely online.
You will not be sorry if you choose to stay here. Thanks Emin for a lovely stay.

A happy Aussie family -:- Darwin, Australia
Perfect for an aussie family
My wife and I recently brought our two sons and their wives for a holiday in and around New York. Travelling all the way from australia meant that all our accommodation had to be booked online, with equal measures of faith and prayer that we got it right. We wanted a place that kept us together as family and when we looked at Wilder St online, it looked just right.
Which it absolutely turned out to be! We loved the warmth and homeliness of the place, the beds were all wonderfully comfortable and the furniture was delightfully eclectic. Loved the loft and the basement games/gym area. The street and surrounds were beautiful and quiet (even saw some wild deer two houses away), the train station was just a brisk walk away and everything else was within walking distance.
Emin's service was warm and welcoming and he was so helpful with the house and some invaluable local knowledge.
As a value for money, clean, spacious slice of home away from home, you can't go wrong.
We'll be back in the sunny months - can't wait.

Fantastic NY/NJ holiday experience
My family and I had an amazing holiday staying at this house.
The photos on the site don't show just how lovely this place is. It is an ideal location if you don't want to be in the city but very easy to get everywhere with regular buses and trains nearby or travel to Newark and get the path as we did most days.
We had some great trips in to the city but also travelled up to Newburgh to Orange County Choppers and also to Hoboken to visit the world famous Carlos Bake Shop.
The house has absolutely everything you need in it and the hospitatily we received was brilliant.
The house is ideal for all ages - we have 3 boys aged 16, 4 and 2 and it was fine for all of them. Our younger ones enjoyed the great garden and our teenager played pool every night!
All in all a great place to stay and a great first trip to the us for our children.

Super Rental!
We recently stayed in this home & had a great time! There were 9 of us, which included 4 young children. The kids loved the pool table & everything seemed to be child proofed & very spacious. We found a local grocery store nearby & the usual fast food places and shopping. The area is very quiet and peaceful. The small front porch was great to just sit outside & talk although the kids preferred the back patio. We never figured out the train or bus, but drove the 10 minutes to path station & left the car there each day so we were able to come and go at odd hours & on our schedule. It cost about $20 to park at path per 24 hours & was well worth it for the convenience. Path train just takes a few minutes and drops you off at WTC, and station seems safe even at 2 am! This house was great for our group and we would definitely consider staying again. Plenty of linens and nice beds & 2 washers & 2 dryers. Perfect to get laundry done quickly. Everyone had a great time & plenty of room!

Perfect House for Family and Perfect Location!
Thank you so much for renting your lovely home for our 2 week vacation to New York and the surrounding areas. This was our first time (as a family) to vacation in New York. We enjoyed your home, plenty of room for a family of 6 (kids and in-laws included). There was plenty of room for everyone to have their own room; the pool table was a big hit with my boys. We loved the feeling of the house and the hardwood floors.
The location was perfect, only about 30 minutes into New York, short drive to Pennsylvania and Boston to Fenway Park. Staying in the house, made us feel so comfortable, we ate breakfast in and had snacks when we returned home. We didn't feel the need to rush out; like we would have, had we stayed in a small hotel room, especially with 2 boys. Truly a blessing to say in your house, the space was just perfect.
We highly recommend the house, the location and would stay here again if we ever returned to New York.
Thanks!

Home away from home
Like the other reviewer we were looking for more affordable accommodation. As nice as it would have been to stay in NYC it is so expensive. This house is cute and quirky and very spacious. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Our younger children loved the loft space. It is very easy to travel into NY by bus, the bus-stop is down the end of the street. It is a lovely quiet neighbourhood, with the beautiful campus of Kean University virtually next door. Some brilliant shopping malls a short drive away, one being Jersey Gardens a fantastic outlet mall. We really enjoyed our stay here. It was great to have a roomy base to return to after an exhausting day sightseeing or shopping.

Unbeatable
Wow, that's all I can say, why pay NYC hotel prices when you can stay here, In October, I had stayed in a Hotel in Queens with my son (nearly broke the bank!!), so having my daughter visit this time, we thought we would try renting a house, proved to be a great decision. We stayed a week with my daughter flying into Newark from the UK, perfect as it's a couple of miles away. There's a supermarket half a mile away for all your needs. The owners are very welcoming and will let you know all about getting around, they have all the train/bus timetables for you if you haven't a car, and lots of brochures for the city and local eating places, so no worrying about how to get any where or if you dont fancy cooking, where you can eat or get a call out. The house is very comfortable after a day of walking around New York, ample room/double bedrooms and everything you need is there, if you have time or energy left, you can shoot some pool in the basement. The train station is walkable for a 30 minute ride into the city, straight into NY Penn Station, although we chose to drive. Parking at the train station is a very reasonable $9 a day. The road is lovely and quiet and right next to Kean Uni Campus, so very safe. Don't miss out on the NJ coast if you have a car and you want a quieter day than the bustle of New York. Needless to say that both my son and daughter will come and visit next summer and this is where we will stay
