Man kann quer durch den Wald zur Ostseeküste rübergehen (ca. 4 km) abends bietet sich eine kleine Radtour z.B. Richtung Nothamn Hafen an- dort ist dann sehr wenig Verkehr und man kann Füchse, Rehe, Eichhörnchen, Hasen und mit etwas Glück sogar Wildschweine beobachten. In Norrtällje sollte man nicht nur der Supermärkte wegen hinfahren (wobei der ICA in Elmsta auch schon sehr gut bestückt ist), sondern sich auch das gemütliche Stadtzentrum anschauen. In Grisslehamn kann man am Hafen in den Fischläden super Fisch einkaufen. Am Nordende des Dorfes ist auch ein ICA, dieser ist aber ziemlich klein.

Leider steht nirgendwo erwähnt, dass zwischen Ferienhaus und See/Bootshaus eine Hauptstraße verläuft und dem entsprechend morgens schon Verkehr ist. Das Grundstück ist nicht eingezäunt und somit ist es auch nicht sinnvoll, kleinere Kinder dort spielen zu lassen.
