We really enjoyed our stay at the Opal House. The house is super cute and in walking distance to shops and restaurants. The house was really clean and super quiet.

This was fabulous! It felt like home when you arrive and every night when we went back after long day it was relaxing. Clean very charming home. I will have to go back to see how it was all decorated. Too short of trip. Slept very well. Wonderful experience!!

Awesome place with lots of sleeping options and a shower and tub in separate bathrooms! Large TV and quiet street to park on. Nice porch if weather permits. Great property.

Great place to stay for a long weekend! Walkable to nearly everywhere and a great kitchen for cooking! Would definitely stay again!

Beautiful historic home that was recently remodeled. It was a short walk to all the shops in Ely and Outfitters. We loved every day that we were there and will miss starting our mornings with coffee on the porch so much!

Our family of five wanted to take my father back to the Boundary Waters where he had spent many summers hiking and camping more than 20 years ago. Because of the ages of our kids, we decided to get a house in town and do some day trips. Ended up being the best decision we could've made. We enjoyed the Opal House so much and just sitting with the history of the place each day. We cooked delicious meals in the kitchen, played games with the kids on the front porch or kitchen table each evening and just thoroughly enjoyed our time in the outdoors and in Ely. Chad and Lori were great hosts and we definitely want to try to come back.

The house was perfect. I loved the character. The kitchen was fantastic. All upgraded appliances and a wonderful induction stove. Lots of nice finishing touches.

This house is absolutely charming, clean and comfortable! You can’t beat the location - walking distance to all the shops and restaurants. Owner was responsive and easy to communicate with. Will be back again!
