The house itself is wonderful, comfortable, cozy, and super clean.The location is very quiet and private, in the middle of nature, yet Ely with its attractions and lots of great hiking are all nearby. Communication was easy and very friendly. Highly recommended!

My family and I enjoyed the solitude of this amazing cabin. It was just the quiet atmosphere we were looking for. There is a great view of the lake and many beautiful flowers and plants surrounding the property. Just the right place to unwind and enjoy the beauty of mother nature! The cabin is well kept and beautiful on the inside as well.

This is my second stay at The Shack and it was just as amazing this time as it was the first. Beautiful property and great location...definitely will stay there again

We can't say enough about this place. It has become our go-to for time away from the kids. We love everything about it and can't wait to go back ASAP! We are also so grateful for the communication with the owners. We are dealing with a family member's health issues and were not sure if we were going to be able to keep our reservation. Gabriella went above and beyond with her communication. Thank you for another wonderful stay!!

Nice cabin, well furnished, and clean. In floor heat was nice, along with the gas stove. Cabin is at the top of a hill, with a long winding driveway, which they fortunately were very good at keeping plowed and sanded. Advertised to require a AWD vehicle due to the steep hill. We were pulling a 1,500 pound snowmobile trailer, and was surprised we made it to the top. Not certain if you could make the turns with a big boat in the summer. 3 star rating on listing accuracy as was disappointed to find the main floor “bedroom” was a pull out couch in the TV room. Loft bed and whirlpool bath were nice, but I drew the short straw and got the pullout couch. Have to ride the road to get to the snowmobile trails about 1/4 mile, so was glad they got snow while we were there.
