The cabin was wonderfully cozy, the area was stunning and Jeff a good host with lots of information. Jeff’s dog was very friendly and kept ours company outside. We would definitely stay here again.

This little cabin is an out of the way spot for r&r. Jeff and his dog Honzo are wonderful neighbors. Jeff is incredibly knowledgeable about the area and its history and you can't go wrong with any of his suggestions. Our pup and Honzo got along wonderfully. The cabin was quiet and comfortable, just what we wanted for a getaway in beautiful Northern MN! Thank you Jeff!

We enjoyed our stay at this authentic log cabin. It's located right on a lake and is very quiet at night, while still being just a short drive to downtown Ely. Jeff is very knowledgeable of the area's history and happy to chat. The cabin provides a lovely retreat!

Jeff was an excellent host! We had an amazing week celebrating our one year wedding anniversary. Jeff even let us use his boat and canoe so we could go out on the lake! 5 Stars!

We had an amazing time staying at White Iron Heritage. Jeff was a great host, providing tons of local history, hiking tips, and more! Our black lab had lots of fun playing with Jeff's dog Hanzo. We hope to return soon!

The sweet log cabin, built in 1962, was furnished with antiques. It was fresh, clean, and inviting with many added touches, such as beautiful bouquets of wildflowers everywhere. Much pride went into this family built home. The setting was at the end of a road surrounded by little "meadows." A couple paths lead down through the birch and ferns to the lake. Our dogs loved it. Adjacent to the log cabin is a carriage house sometimes occupied by the owner who respects your privacy. He often was fishing or motoring out to a family owned 40 acre island in the lake. It was a pleasant restful mini-vacation.

Jeff was really great, we had full use of his boat and kayak and canoe. Very informative about the events going on in town. Hanzo was my favorite host ever. Love his sweet doggy ❤️

Wonderful, clean, one room cabin (excluding the bathroom with shower) with a working fireplace on a northern MN lake! As tent campers this was quite the treat. We still get connected to the outdoors while having some creature comforts. Jeff was an amazing host, giving us a great amount of local knowledge.

Cabin location is great. We love the new dock. Jeff was friendly and helpful and responsive. Cabin well outfitted. Many sweet touches including vases of fresh flowers. It’s our second year. Good chance we’ll be there next year.
