Best ever
Best self catering accommodation we have stayed, wonderful quite site but children very welcome with a lovely play area, tennis courts, you can even bring your horse for a charge. All you need is your clothes and food. So well equipped it’s unbelievable. Jeff the owner so nice and couldn’t be any more helpful if he tried. Great fishing, lovely place for visiting the North Yorkshire Moors with lots of little villages and towns within a short radius . Big 5* plus from us

Perfect week
We had the most perfect week away. As first time people to come here we will defo be back and will definitely be recommending it to people. Jeff (the owner) is a lovely bloke all round.
He provides pretty much everything you need which is above and beyond what we was expecting. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay.

Lovely place and owner
We have just left the byre at old low moor cottages. We stayed for 5 days and could have quite easily stayed for longer . The cottage is beautiful and finished to a very high standard. The surroundings of the cottage a so peaceful and rural. The owner of the properties Jeff is a lovely man who is on hand if you need him for anything, he is very friendly and leaves the cottage very welcoming for your arrival. We definitely recommend old low moor farm cottages and have already booked again for next year.

About the neighbourhood
Old Low Moor Farm is located in beautiful countryside over looking open fields with the Hambleton Hills in the background. It is approximately 4 miles from the picturesque market town of Thirsk, home to James Herriot and the Yorkshire Vet, and five miles from the county town of Northallerton with all its shops, cafes and restaurants, including a branch of the famous Betty's cafe.
Situated just on the edge of the North York Moors National Park there is easy access onto the Moors and the sea side resorts of Scarborough, Whitby and Robin Hoods Bay. However the farm's central location also makes a trip into the Yorkshire Dales National Park a must for visitors. York and Harrogate are also within easy reach.
Getting around
There is no public transport in the village and so a car is a necessity but there are plenty of walks locally and the farm is on a major Sustrans cycle route.
Access
Car required
How to get there
From the A19 take the turning marked Borrowby and Knayton, turning right over the A19 into Knayton, drive through the village passed the Dog and Gun pub. Approximately 1/2 mile outside the village you will come to a crossroads, go straight over on to a single track road with passing spaces. Old Low Moor Farm is the first Farm on your left. Please do not rely on your Satnav as it will take you past the Farm further down Moor Road.
