Exceptionally mild micro climate in Moelan sur Mer, a very typical old fishing village near the coast. A delicious bakery 3 minutes away by car (Kersolf). Outside More than 2000 sqm of garden in front of the house (with sea views). Five minute walk to a small beach, on a coastal path. A larger beach with activities (sailing, sea kayak, windsurfing) about 5 minutes walk on same coastal path. No roads to cross. Immediate access to coastal walks in front of the house. Coast/Beach: Coast/Beach About 12-15 minutes walk from house to the ocean, and small sandy beaches. A larger sandy beach (Trenez beach) can be accessed following the ocean towards the left.. Lorient Airport is 30 minutes away from the house (Ryananir flies from London in Summer). Brest airport is 1 hr and a half away. Quimper airport 50 minutes away.Nantes airport 2 hours 20 mn away. Possibilities to rent boats and windsurfs 5 min away at Kerfany. Private and group lessons also available. Stay in the calm, where no car will come to annoy you, and choose your day to visit tourist areas like Pont Aven where Gauguin lived, or Quimper (40 min away) with its Festival de Cornouaille in July, or Lorient (30 min away) with its famous Celtic Festival in August. Distances. Famous village of Pont Aven is only 15 minutes drive from the house. Gauguin stayed in Pont Aven for a long time. You can visit the house where he stayed and painted on some walls. It is now a lovely small museum. Pont Aven is now a bubbly village offering good restaurants and wonderful food shops as well as fantastic scenery. We really enjoyed our holiday at this property and were delighted to find the house so well appointed and equipped, it was better than we'd hoped for. It's really close to the coastal footpath and we discovered some delightful little coves within easy walking distance....More
