My family loved 111 Barcliff! There was plenty of room for our extended family and having the guest cottage was so helpful for extra sleeping space as well as kitchen space. Our favorite room was the Pilot Room with it's beautiful views, but we also loved the kitchen as it was spacious enough for everyone and was fully stocked. The absolute best selling point of this property, though, are the grounds. They are simply beautiful! The kids had so much fun running around and playing games and we all enjoyed being together outside. We often ate dinner out on the patio. The one suggestion I have for the grounds would be to install an irrigation system. It was pretty dry this past August and the grass and foliage were beginning to look a bit tired and brown, however, it was still lovely.
There were many rooms in the main house so we had plenty of space to spread out. The kitchen and most of the bathrooms are nicely updated, which is great. Some of the other rooms could use a little sprucing up. A few of the rugs are worn very thin to the point of having holes and the seat cushions on the window seat and chairs in the Pilot room are ancient and definitely need to be replaced. It certainly wouldn't prevent us from renting there again, but it would be nice to see those things upgraded and/or replaced.
We loved being able to walk downtown and to CBI, the Lighthouse, the Fish Pier and all along Shore Rd. We went on many evening strolls that week and the area is just stunning. We truly enjoyed our week at this property.

Ideal rental for extended families!
Loved our week at 111 Barcliff! House has everything we could have hoped for! The flow allowed more privacy for us and our children than we expected. Beautiful property and beautiful view!

Wonderful family vacation place
Property was great for the whole family. With the house and cottage, our extended family stayed the week with comfort and privacy for all. Great lawn area for the kids. Great view. Within walking distance of downtown. The whole family looks forward to returning.

Great extended family house
Great property for a large extended family. This is our third year renting this house and every year it gets better. The newly remodeled master bedroom and bath on the first floor was beautiful. The location of the house can't be beat, walk to the pier, beach or downtown.

Another wonderful week at Barcliff Ave!
We rented this beautiful home for a second time this year and had a wonderful time! The view of Black Pond is still gorgeous! The downstairs master bathroom was renovated and is beautiful! We had a little bit of trouble with the oven being broken and the refrigerator taking a while to cool properly, but the folks at Chatham Vacation Rentals were very responsive and helpful. The owners were even kind enough to give us a small refund for the trouble. I would definitely rent from them again!

Awesome time
We stayed at this house for a week. We had 4 kiddies and an infant. The house was perfectly set up for our needs. The front yard was big and fun for the kids to play in. The "round" room in the back of the house was just fantastic. Lots of memorabila to be found in that room!
My only "complaint" (and its not a big one!) is that the cooking utensils were in need of replacement. They have been used quite a bit.
We did not use the added cottage but it was nice to know it was there.

Best Family Estate Ever on Chatham's Black Pond!
From the moment we arrived to the last hour we had to leave, we thoroughly enjoyed our time at this special residence. We cooked family dinners, barbequed outside, lounged in the yard on lounge chairs! Walked to town, and bicycled everywhere! The only think I would have updated is we did have a few bugs in the Pilot room. It is however a historic piece of the home, so I am guessing that is why. We maintained a clean environment, but bugs have a way of showing up! Otherwise, pure bliss.
Again, I can not stress enough how great this place was for our family!

Old Cape Comfort and Elegance
The way the Cape should be ... comfortable, graceful old home with stunning views and great location. Lots of room for extended family or friends both inside the house and on the grounds. The guest house is a small cottage unto itself and makes a great private space for the younger crowd. Rose Hill was a find and we can't wait to go back.

Great location and wonderful view!
My extended family had our annual get-together at this house and it worked out very well. The house is in a perfect location, just up the road from Chatham Fish Pier, where you can walk down and watch the fishing boats come in and see seals swimming about. But, the other great thing about this house is that it has a beautiful view of Black Pond. We spent many hours sitting in the Adirondack chairs, catching up, and enjoying the beautiful view. The house was built in the 1930s and has a lot of charm. You can tell the owners have worked very hard to keep it in good condition. The bathrooms are a little dated, but not too bad. There's an adjacent cottage on the property with five beds, that also has an extra small kitchen and living room. The "Pilot House" area within the main house is a wonderful room where you can view Black Pond, visit, play games, or watch TV. They also just recently installed central A/C throughout the house. Everyone was very comfortable and we hope to come back again next year!
