We're located at the tip of the Wisconsin Peninsula, a place called Gills Rock, NO Crowds, and we're surrounded by Lake Michigan! The Bay of Green Bay on one side and Lake Michigan on the other. Just down the road is the Washington Island Ferry that crosses the Death's Door Passage to Washington Island. The Maple Grove was built in 1949 and was one of the first motels in Door County. It's a great place to relax after a big day enjoying all that the near-by harbor towns have to offer. Like Restaurants, Winery's, Cherry's, Festivals, Art Galleries, Pottery, Outdoor Theater, Kayaking, Boating, Fishing, Hiking, Beaches, Music, Clothing Shops, Quilt Shops, Biking, Marathons, and so much more! We have a huge"Green Space" where you can walk in the woods amongst 100 yr. old Cedar and Maple trees that produced 100's of gallons of Maple Syrup back in the day! Within a short walking distance is the Island Clipper Tour Boat, Charlie's Smoke Fish, Mariner's Park and the Maritime Museum! If that's not enough, you can walk to a fabulous restaurant with indoor and outdoor dining with a million dollar sunset view overlooking the Bay of Greenbay! Not to mention the Best Fireworks on the July 4th! Our cabin has Electric Heat, Frig, Keurig Coffee, Microwave. Outdoor Cabana with Table and Weber Grille and Old Fashioned Outhouse! Gills Rock is a small fishing community and home of many Commercial Fisherman who fish out of Sand Bay and Weborgs Dock for last 100 yrs. We have 1 small church, restaurant, Charlies Smokefish House, Island Clipper, Washington Island Car Ferry and two gift shops. Nearest gas station, grocery three restaurants is Ellison Bay, 2 miles away. We are also just 6 miles North of Sister Bay.

The Maple Grove is within short walking distance to Charlies Smokefish House, Island Clipper to Washington Island and the Shoreline Lighthouse Tour Boat, Shoreline Restaurant, Hedghog Gift Shop, Top Thumb Gifts and a million dollar sunset over the Bay of Green Bay.
